The fishing industry is highly unregulated and even existing laws are often poorly if at all enforced. This piece of illegal net found in Namibian waters is the proof. 🦭

I love how he talks to the seal. "Where did you find the net, it's illegal. Do you know it's illegal" 😅

I have to tell you guys something. Out of all the heinous crap and garbage on the internet, What you guys do and what you post is like a breath of fresh air and sunshine. No stupid sales pitch. No whining and slobbering about your sad life story or political crap. No violence or negative vibe. Just great guys and girls doing great things because its the great thing to do. Thank god for you guys.

One of my favorite parts of these videos is hearing how calmly and affectionately Antoine speaks to the seals during the rescues.
-
Your persistence in completely removing the entanglement is wonderful. The seals may not understand, but they are better for all your efforts. All you need now is for them to figure out you are helping them and be waiting in line for you to get there!
-
I love how Tonie is so calm and kind to all the seals especially the pups. All of the team are special.
-
the seal : “sorry sir i didn’t realize this fishing net was illegal”

I have watched this video now two times And I am even more amazed at the dedication and physical & mental strength of these two men They are amazing, despite being tired from holding her down and their hands cramping, still they continue to work to free the seal from this big entanglement And he keeps apologizing to the seal for taking so long to finish removing the net They are true caring heroes for these seals. ❤❤❤❤❤.

The baby talk with the seal while you guys were resting in between 😂 I can feel your hearts for them. Thank you for what you guys are doing for these seals! It’s so amazing ❤
-
Tony and Denzil, kudos to you for a successful rescue under extremely difficult conditions, lacking 2 team members being the main one.👍👏

When Antoine talks to the seals it makes my heart melt ❤️ So cute !! "It's ok, it's ok, Papi, you gonna be ok."
-
Thank you guys for the wonderful work you do rescuing those poor seals at considerable risks of bites to yourselves! God bless you all, all our thanks and gratitude from Liverpool UK

That was so sweet the way she just sauntered off knowing you helped her. Thankful and exhausted.

Oh my goodness, Tony and Denzil you've outdone yourselves with this rescue. The amount of effort you both put in to relieving this seal of that bloody gill net is huge and I'm not surprised you were all tired afterwards. It's no wonder the seal was aggravated in the beginning, she couldn't open her mouth, the net was over her eyes, and she was stressed out. She put up a good fight but the relief when the muzzle line was cut was amazing. She could breathe properly. Thank you both so much. I hope you have a great weekend. PS: This was The Day of the Jackal. ☮️❤️🦘🇦🇺

Oh the poor seal...almost as exhausted as her rescuers from the whole ordeal. I don't think I've ever seen a seal walk away from a rescue like that...😔
-
My respect to all of you involved in this type of continuous rescue You all are true HEROES THANK YOU
-
Thank you for helping these poor animals. It's not their fault that humans are so selfish as to leave dangerous things laying around for them to get trapped in. You guys rock!
-
It’s people like you who make me not lose hope for humanity. The work your group does is amazing 👍🏽
-
I have tears in my eyes watching this, especially at the end when the seal walks away and one of the rescuers says, ‘ sorry it took so long’. Please don’t ever apologise, you’re all superheroes.

Naude and the OCN Team - we all LOVE what you do and are amazed at your incredible commitment and unwavering dedication toward rescuing these seals! I would love to be part of your team but I know I would just slow you down! ☺️ Keep it up, continue to amaze and thrill us all saving these poor seals - victims of human negligence, cruelty and pure laziness. All they had to do is throw the discarded nets, fishing line, etc., into a garbage bag and put it into a garbage can back on land. Pathetic and saddening. Your team is a breath of fresh air and bright light, saving these amazing creatures. Thank you from the bottom, top and entirety of my heart!!! ❤🥰❤️

You two are amazing! Exhausted and dealing with a powerful, strong seal, and you never gave up, and saved her life! You are heroes.
