Who's listening in 2024?
-
I was 12 years old in 1978 and I loved his song so much. I am still loving it in 2024.

Everyone comes for rhe sax....but they forget that Gerry scored the entire song. His was the true genius

This is one of the best songs ever recorded. I can come back to this time after time, over the last 36 years, and I'm never once disappointed, and I never get tired of hearing it. This is timeless magic for the ears.

I'm 66 years old and still in love with this song❤
-
Everyone bangs on about the sax but every instrument on this track is impeccably played.
-
The transition from the guitar solo to the saxophone just blows you away!!
-
I'm instantly back in 1978. So many memories come flooding back. It's truly sad how time really does fly. Lost my brother in '99...my Mom in '07...and my Dad in '23. 😢😢😢 This song brings them back...if only for a moment.❤

Our generation has been so lucky. We had the best music. We were free

Thanks, Grand Theft Auto. Forgot this song existed until the commercial. That's what brought me here and I'm thankful for it. Killer sax gives this song wings!!
-
Rafferty scored this entire song on his own. True musician at his best. Thanks for posting.

When I arrived in Los Angeles in 1979, this song was played everywhere, I remember in those times city busses were playing some radio stations, ... what a ride of my life this song is, I spent a long time trying to know what was the name of this song and who was the artist performing it, you won't believe it but I just found out about it today, incredible.

You had to be a kid in the 70's to remember and appreciate this timeless classic. I used to hear this song almost everyday when I was a kid. Thanks for posting this.
