"Life is a walking. At any time in your life you have the power to turn forward." -Good Buffalo Eagle, THE SEVEN PATHS

Anasazi Foundation is a nonprofit 501©(3) wilderness therapy program headquartered in Mesa, Arizona. Anasazi Foundation gives young people an opportunity, through a primitive living experience and a philosophy that invites healing at the hands of nature, to effect a change of heart--a change in one's whole way of walking in the world.

Many of the unique and life-changing teachings at Anasazi Foundation were inspired by two of its co-founders: Ezekiel C. Sanchez (a Totonac Indian whose given name is Good Buffalo Eagle) and his wife, Pauline Martin Sanchez (a Navajo native whose given name is Gentle White Dove). For more than thirty years these teachings have helped families turn their hearts to one another, begin anew, and walk in harmony in the wilderness of the world.

  • my beautiful wife of 21 years just passed over, I am walking forward!
  • @Thefunksoulbro
Indigenous peoples hold such great wisdom, peace and joy to all reading this. Namaste.
  • My children gifted me a truck that the rear view mirror had fallen off of...I glued it back on and in a couple of days it fell off again. Two more times I glued it back on and it fell again, both times. I took this to mean that I shouldn't look back to much on the days where I was lost and walked backwards...to look forward and walk forward towards truth and love and light. Great message we all need in these times of uncertainty. Much love and light to you all.

Everytime you give in to that voice that wants you to move backwards. Forgive yourself and just get back up and move forward. 🌍
  • I walked backwards for a long time. I stood still, but my heart wasn't in it. I'm making my way foreward, but it's a struggle. I'm up for it though.

As a native American I'm blessed with a great history culture and family, iam Choctaw and my father is Welsh and like the Welsh we are a people of great history and culture
  • I've walked backwards, and am now paying for it. And yes it was all a result of my own poor or uninformed choices .

The older I have become, I realize our creator is more closely like the Native peoples have described. At one with nature, at one with the Earth and the Eternal sky. We truly are the caretakers of the gifts we were given and responsible for them and each other. This is the transformation the entire planet needs to go through. The importance of responsibility

We are born with a God-given conscience. The more we refuse to listen to it & follow it the worse mankind becomes.
  • For forty years I walked in the Darkness. I am 48 years old now. This summer I found what I've seeked my entire life. Great spirit. He was in me the whole time. He walked with me the whole way. Could not see him because I could not see light. Now that I walk with him I see all. I see the light and I can see the dark as well. I choose to live in the light and he has blessed me abundantly. Thank you Great Spirit in the sky and everywhere! Whatever his will is my command I will worship him through my actions from this day forward.💙

My father always said, "You give good, you'll get good. Give bad, you'll always get bad. You know right from wrong, choose your path. But be ready to stand accountable. " I taught my children this, and now they teach theirs. A very simple philosophy.
  • WISDOM is Better than WEAPONS of WARFARE...🤠👍🇺🇸🦅
  • I'M WALKING BY FAITH EVERY DAY, EVEN WHEN I LITERALLY CAN'T WALK.IM A PRAYER WARRIOR FOR GOD,HE SAVED ME AGAIN,MY JOURNEY ISN'T DONE,I KNOW.
  • Today I had to put my precious dog down. Maisey was a real inspiration! she was blind, had a severe heart murmur, and recently seizures which left her very weak. She was a real trooper. Always up for a good day!! It was hard but I couldn’t watch her suffer any longer. I am already missing her spirit so much. I thank God for sending her to me and thank her for being who she was. My heart is broken and this gave me such a lift! So thank you!!

One of the wisest men I had ever known was a Cree Elder who I knew only as JJ. There were a couple of Band Counsellors having a heated argument about something (I forgot what it was about). He interrupted them and said “When everybody paddles the canoe in the same direction, you go faster.” He then sat down and remained silent for the rest of the meeting. The differences were worked out and progress ensued. When I heard about this, I asked him if I could use his quote, whereupon he said that would be fine. The man could have written a book on some of his other sayings.

Words of great wisdom for us all together in a very special place called earth.
  • Beautiful! It is true. When you do right your life is easier, less complicated and peaceful. When you intentionally do wrong you cannot rest. You are always looking over your shoulder. You know what they say about karma. It is true that right or wrong there are consequences. Never think you are too smart to outwit or outplay karma. Live to serve and love others and your reward will be great.
