    Beautiful car! My grandpa and grandma had an '89. I remember riding up front in between them on many trips. It is a true shame Detroit forgot how to build real cars!

  • It’s actually from the 80's because the beauty shown in this commercial here is the first generation Town Car that was sold from '81 to '89.

    Jack Nicklaus there would soon get his own Designer Series of Town Car in 1992-93, in green and white trim.
  • American luxury automakers were selling "lifestyle" every bit as much as they were cars.

    By this time. These cars were a shell of what they were 10 years earlier. Frankly they were Marquis/Crown Vics with more trim. And the cost cutting was getting worse and then you saw them as rental cars frequently as well
