Decentralised Aquifier Recharge system. Every geographical area is unique. First map the area. Find the source of recharge. Next find out how much water is required in that area. Find out water required for food, living, ecology etc. Now plan. Build aquifer if required. Monitor. Keep the plan always open to change. Always plan as close to nature with minimal maintenance. This helps to sustain and keep the Aquifers running for 1000 of years to come. In short simply mark the area and plan accordingly. Keep the plan open to change. Have a small team to maintain for each area. That's it. Repeat be open to change

Simple, key-line plow all available hills to catch all rain water. A key-line plow cuts into the soil about 16 inches. It catches the rainwater and discourages evaporation because the cut into the ground is very narrow and thus prevents the sun from evaporating the water. Ditches can be dug into the hill going against the slope of the hill to also catch the rainwater. All street storm water should be led into water catchment basins to be percolated into the soil. Football stadium size ponds should be built next to all water pumps to help regenerate the water pump ground water. These ponds should all be covered to prevent evaporation. DO IT QUICK BECAUSE I DON'T WANT SANTA CLARA FIRES TO COME TO MY HOMETOWN SALINAS, CALIFORNIA!!!
  • I come from indonesia. I think the same idea like this. Great work!
  • My neighbor Miramonte Sanitation Trash Company: Drilled a water Well, during the drought of 2011 - 2020. My father's parents homes, Well pump went dry in 2015. The unground aquifer river is drying california is sinking. They put in a alfalfa field and called themself, Farmers when they are in fact a trash company. This is the location of the old sawmill Sequoia Forest Industries, Ivory Pine Industries 1949 present.

    I don't know I just work here...
  • There should only be enough water reaching the ocean through rivers to assure the health of these rivers. All other water should be put to use or in the aquifers.

main challenge is the filter nature did to send the water underground

Just have the State Water Resources Control Board increase the MCL for some constituent so that you cant pump it, then your aquafer will replenish. Problem solved. They do it all the time in SoCal.

Recycled water to aquifers? I hope you test this water.

If you drill a hole in the middle of river you will recharge the aquafir pretty quick.
  • I have a solution. End the drought. It isn't that difficult. I ended the Southwest Drought by rehabilitating the Millet Swale watershed, at 6000 feet elevation, southeast of Snowflake, Arizona. Rehabilitating the watershed eliminated a stable temperature inversion that was blocking atmospheric circulation thru the Colorado River Basin. Winter 2022-2023 in the Southwest is the evidence. Yeah, that just happened.

75% of the whole Earth is covered in water so it shouldn't be much of a big deal just conserve water and use it wisely
