Also in 2023, I launched my Local All Inclusive trips. Which are 5-day 4-night trips! We did 3 last year and I have 2 for this year. This is a way to explore Mexico make new friends and learn about local customs and traditions.

Chiapas December 5-9 2024: 5 Days 4 nights Chiapas is what I call the Costa Rica of Mexico!!!! It is mountainous, and green and lots of animals to see! We will go down the famous Sumidero Canyon, explore waterfalls, and visit a coffee plantation. I took this trip in Dec 2022 with my mom and my husband and all I can think about is getting back there!...and how can I live there! hahah

Thanks for being the brave Tren Maya guinea pig for the rest of us!
  • I will definitely gonna use the tren maya after watching your video, it seems easier than I thought.
  • This was fantastic! Impromptu, no solid plans, nothing booked in advance and yet you still managed to have a wonderful trip and make a fabulous and informative video. Very well done! I’m excited to take the train when we get back. We had planned a trip to Palenque that got cancelled this year and maybe it was for the best because it would have had to include a lot of overnight or late night bus rides and the train just makes it so much more convenient and easy. I think it’s a great innovation for transportation in the Yucatan. I’m excited to try it out. Gracias amiga!!

Hi Trish and Diego. Thanks for showing us how the Tren Maya works - or in some cases doesn't work. Regardless, it's so exciting that the train is reality! And thank you for your wonderful videos - you and Diego are awesome. Looking forward to many more!!

That was a very nice trip! Valladolid looks really nice and I agree, Trisha, that two days may be better than one. I give you credit for being super patient while waiting for all of the things, I'm not sure I would have handled it as well as you did.
  • Thank you for making these videos and filming the ordeal: there's so many conflicting stories in the expat groups! Looking forward to them ironing out the issues and the process getting smoother. My hood is Mérida but I do love its mini version, Valladolid, as well! 😌 🙏🏼 🚆 🇲🇽

Amazing to think that before June of 2020 none of those tracks or trains or stations were even built!

30:09 The problem is that whatever you experience today will be different next month. Everything is changing so fast that the info is good, but gets dated very fast. As for your comment that you thought it would come every hour... they've ordered 42 entire trains from Alstom, the company building them and they have 7 so far. As you can imagine it takes quite some time to build an entire factory in Mexico and train people to work in them and then build 42 entire trains. More will come in time but for now they're running all of the trains they have.
  • Hey Trish. I’m in Mexico right now in puerto Morelos. My friends and I are wanting to go to market 28. Can you tell me the best way to get there?
  • I just watched your video. I wish I would have seen this before I bought my ticket for Saturday. I chose special tourist because I did not know what to choose. I hope they will let me ride and pay the difference in the price on my arrival. On the website it's not clear at all and I think it definitely should be instead of having to watch YouTube videos. Ha ha ha. Anyways. I hope I will be able to ride.
  • @jimesoprano924
I wonder if they do not sell all the tickets they sctually allow the local price, or they just leave with availability?
  • Hola. When they say teachers, for price, do they include only Mexican based teachers or do we who teachers based in the USA get the price?
