Rocky was given almost no chance of survival | The Asher House

I’m sitting here crying my eyes out. I wil never understand how someone can let an animal get to this condition. My heart is breaking.

I can’t wait to see Rocky heal and be a carefree puppy. I love Matilda trying to play with him. She’s a wonderful ambassador. Sending healing energy to Rocky.

I'm a 52 year old man.... choking up over this poor abused soul, and SO ANGRY over Rocky's condition.... THANK YOU for ALL you do for these animals that have seen just how worthless and ignorant some of us Humans can be!!!

I rescued a beautiful girl who had been locked in a cage for the first year of her life with children poking her through the bars. I had the honor of being her person for 12 years before she passed. It was a long process getting her to trust people, but so worth the effort

First of all Tommy and his ball just gets me in the heart. Matilda playing and jumping around is hillarious. So happy. But the cool thing was seeing Rocky come to you on his own. Rocky deserves every single good thing in life. Much love and gratitude to you Lee.

You can tell that the little Daschund dog was really taking to Rocky. Following him, kissing him, just making sure he was alright. It's so sweet to see how dogs really care about each other. I'll never get over watching that. So wholesome and sweet.

People suck! I just cannot understand someone being mean to a dog like this. Thank you so much for saving him. Beyond words for the love I feel for this puppers!!!

I have no words to describe what I’m feeling right now. Between the sadness, the infuriating feeling of knowing someone purposely did this to a dog. But also the happiness of seeing him getting all the love he deserves. Thank you, Lee!! 🐾💙🐺

Can we please sign a petition to demand that animal abusers are given the same treatment as punishment for the abuse they’ve dished out to voiceless animals. Lock them up, starve them and leave them in their sh*t, day in and day out. Like-for-like is one way to stop the abuse. Lee Asher you are just the most beautiful, caring man. He is so unbelievably handsome. Friday a female husky showed up on our doorsteps. She immediately became attached to my 12 year old nephew. It's been 5 days and it looks like our rescue pittie now has a sister 😆 *We've called around, posted on social media, etc - No one has come to claim her, it looks like she may have been used for puppies then dumped. Thank y'all Asher House for all that y'all do! 🐕🐶🐾💓

I adopted a dog many years ago who was in comparable condition. She was a year old and she'd spent her whole life chained to a post year round in someone's backyard without access to foor and water. She'd been abused and was terrified of EVERYTHING. With love, patience, and socialization she became a happy, beautiful girl who was so sweet and full of life. If you ever consider adopting you, please understand that you are meeting them in a stressful environment and they likely have trauma that can heal with love and time. It's amazing how much they can transform if you give them a chance.

When Rocky came up to you after being scared of Matilda trying to play, that was a crucial step for Rocky’s trust in you! He was scared but looked to you for comfort. Good job!

How could anyone with an ounce of intelligence say Rocky is aggressive and unadoptable. I've never seen a more gentle dog in my life... and I'm 78!
