Joe Biden pulls out of US Presidential race, endorses Kamala Harris

Published 2024-07-21
US President Joe Biden has ended his reelection campaign after fellow Democrats lost faith in his mental acuity and ability to beat Donald Trump, leaving the presidential race in uncharted territory.
The announcement on Sunday by the oldest sitting president in the United States’ history came amid mounting pressure from his fellow Democrats, with more than 30 Congress members publicly pushing for his exit.
Joe Biden has endorsed his vice president Kamala Harris. She previously served as a senator and as California's attorney general. She’s outspoken on abortion rights and, as the first black vice president has shored up support among African Americans. However, her approval ratings are low.

Only an American political analyst would speak about 1968 as if it's ancient history.
  • A population of more than 300 million and the best people they could come up is a bunch of nuts.

ITS A GOOD DECISION 👍. WE NEED NEW CANDIDATE FOR DEMOCRATIC PARTY IN 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.
  • It doesn't actually make any difference whether the President is Republican or Democrat. The genius of the American ruling class is that it has been able to make the people think that they have had something to do with the electing of presidents for 200 years when they've had absolutely nothing to say about the candidates or the policies or the way the country is run.-Gore Vidal

His campaign was doomed by the end of the debate. It was gross negligence for him to continue to seek re-election after that performance.

They should have done a Weekend at Bernie's type thing. There are a lot of people that would rather vote for a corpse than vote for Donald Rump

They lost a very close election in 1968. That was because of the Vietnam War and the candidate’s position on it
