I was stationed in West Berlin when Sprockets first came out. I loved it so much because I would see Dieter types everyday in the city. It was fantastic and had me laughing nearly every day.

I miss the unapologetic weirdness of the 90’s

One person in the crowd got the "tossed salad" joke. One person.
  • Dieter is a fairly accurate characterization of the German avant garde art, film and techno/jazz scene at the time.

“How do you answer the rumors that you are a silly bitch?” I laughed so hard I was crying

When Dieter is imitating the animal's expression -- my absolute favorite part.

Always loved this skit. I especially like Dieter’s catchphrase: “Your story has become tiresome. Now’s the time on Sprockets when we DANCE!”

My god, this was absolutely hilarious. I lost it when the monkey went nuts and they just worked with that! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This sketch is certified: Too High Brow for the studio audience...lol
  • Dieter is a weird mixture of Dr. Evil and Austin Powers. It's groovy, it's evil. It's groovil.

While exaggerated, this skit is still a painfully accurate representation of the goth/industrial subculture.
  • @godohfear
Will Ferrell was hella scared of that Capuchin

Man, I LOVED Sprockets back in the day. Hasn't aged all that well but back then it was so awesome. So silly, so quotable!
  • @thebroker2191
They capture the spirit of what they’re parodying so much I can’t help but laugh my ass off. “Your host, deiter”
  • @MissJoyVay
“No tossed salad for you, missy!” 😹
  • I lost it with “Denzel Washington in Yentl” - especially funny when said with a German accent.

Snl was better when it was weirder.
