  • I realize there are probably other synthesizers, that can do this. But it has been such a difficult thing to find info online about this specific problem. Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoyed it!
  • If i could offer some advice, don't go down a crazy synth rabbit hole. Keep this as you main mono-duophonic synth and then get 1 solid poly synth (sequential for example) and you're done. Thats all most people need to cover most needs.
  • I’ve owned quite a few Moogs. The Subsequent 37 is my personal favorite. The filter slopes are really killer, and you can burn a day messing around with looping and syncing the envelopes. And it’s built like a tank. The build quality is far superior than on the Matriarch. Excellent choice.
  • @FM-kl7oc
Rest in peace man. Because you just found a new, very expensive rabbit hole :D There are so many great modern analogue synths released in the last 8 years. Sequential/Dave Smith has some absolutely amazing synthesizers too. Working with analogue hardware really feels different from clicking your mouse cursor around in software.
  • Definitely keep falling down the analog synthesizer rabbit hole. Such a fun piece you made, even as not a keys guy.
  • @tb80038
It's so much more fun turning knobs on a physical synth vs VST and a controller. There are so many great affordable options these days as well.
  • @samprock
Exactly. Excited you've discovered Subsequent 37. Exactly those features locking/linking to DAW with VST makes it my favorite mono analog synth! Companion VST is as beautiful as the Moog itself. Best, you can control more knobs then number of hands you have, by automating several same time thru DAW :)
  • @jacklane3679
This became a dream synth for me 7 years ago when I first saw it... only recently been loaned it by a friend and its just amazing. Addicted. Slightly upset I have to give it back at some point hahaha
  • I know you don't do a ton of hip hop but trust me this thing is a beast for hip hop bass
  • @alextibo
was just playing with mine and then this video popped up! a truly beautiful instrument. it can do some interesting things you wouldn't expect
  • Okay I've been wanting one so bad since they came out and your video is what is gonna push me into finally purchasing one!
  • @embazle
Man it feels good seeing you own this. I love my Sub37. If you want to get personally intimate with it, push it through some reverb and delay pedals and enjoy a beautiful escape. So amazing.
  • @OscarUnderdog
So funny to see this now, I coïncidentally caved & picked it up a week ago myself 😄 love it to bits as well!
  • @DuduAram
Awesome. If you need that info, E-RM Multiclock is a way to lock the clock from PT or any DAW to any gear that gets jilter from MIDI Beat Clock.
  • @DuceIRae
this has been doable with many many synths for the last 15 years.. been doing all this in my studio for years. I have about 15 synths hooked up all the time and they are all connected via difrent forms of midi. hardware is great. nice Video btw Colt
  • Cool video dude, its absolutely a modern classic, I keep it on Bass Duty for all my songs!
  • @LesVegasMusic
Colt! Congratulations on the new Subsequent 37! Good pick! I've got one here too. Not sure if you know or not but the other great thing about the Subsequent 37 is that the presets can be shared. Please consider sharing the patches you made for this demo. Also, not being a synth guy, I'm surprised at how easy and quick you feel you're able to dial in just the kind of sound you have in mind. I'd love to see a video on how you go about creating a patch from scratch. Maybe include a bass and lead sound for sure. Great demo! Thank you!
