Something about phase 1 ironman that felt like it had more weight to it.
-
That pilot has a story for a lifetime: "Iron man saved my life after destroying my F22!" "Ya, right dad..."
-
Love how they portrayed the pilots as competent and actually good pilots
-
I love that things like air traffic control and violating restricted airspace were briefly a thing for Tony in the first movie, and from then on out it was just "do whatever the hell you want up there Iron Man"
-
They don't make MCU movies like this anymore. I love how far we've come but we've lost the initial excitement we all had. Also the CGI is phenomenal given it's 2008
-
I miss these early MCU movies. They were gritty, humorous at times but serious when they needed to be with elements of realism that immersed you into the world. This sequence felt like it had real stakes.
-
Tony Stark: "I am Iron Man!" Air Force: So about that F-22 you took out...
-
The thing Tony upgraded that nobody ever mentions is the stealth. No one ever detected him on radar in ANY MCU SCENE SINCE THIS.
-
I know it’ll be tough considering everything we’ve already seen in the recent films, but scenes like this are what’s missing in the stories from the new heroes we’re getting.
-
It’s crazy how far the suit has come. From not being abele to silence out the wind from a phone call to becoming a nano suit that can appear in 2 seconds.
-
F22s...Can't take down Ironman, but can sure as hell take down a balloon
-
This shows Iron Man's power. Even though he's new to this, even the Raptor couldn't beat him. The F-22 is one of if not the most feared jet fighter in the world.
-
it’s crazy how tony went from struggling with two fighter jets to wielding a couple stones that wiped half the universe
-
This feels like real IRON man, now it’s just NANO TECH EVERYTHING man.
-
People overlook this as a small feat but mind you, the raptors were and still are the most advanced and deadly aircraft to date that we know of. They're literally the best at air dominance. So for Tony already being able to survive 2, and could've taken them out, he just didn't want to hurt the pilots, shows a good scale of an early Iron Man already being ahead of the military. Isn't this just his mark 3 armor? He didn't even have stealth yet surprisingly.

We will never have an iron man like this. Such a badass scene.
-
That suit went through an F-22 wing, he survived, and he was still able to save the pilot. That's a very sturdy suit! Good durability test.
-
The CGI of this movie will never age. It’s so consistently good, you easily look past the few moments that look imperfect (like one part in the cave with the CG mk1 replacement and parts of the finale)
-
Crazy to think that despite the panic Tony is in with this scene, if he wanted to, he could have easily blown those jets right out of the sky

Back when the movies were great.
