I am a survivor of child abuse. For many years, I cared for my dementia parents and helped them with their rehabilitation. I quit my job, gave up my youth, and now they are both dead. I still have nightmares and have a hard time, but I still try to find peace of mind through writing and painting. I'm new to oil painting. I'm very happy when I paint.
