  • Hi been in the trucking industry as a driver for ten years. Decided to make a career change back in may of last year. Been in school for 7 months now doing the general education classes and is about to start the cyber security classes. So excited I'm 43 years old and still work 70+ hours a week don't let anyone tell you it's to late to go back to school

I'm a cybersecurity professional going through this and it's way more realistic to what you actually do as a cybersecurity professional than exams from CompTIA. I also love seeing that women are teaching the course! Awesome job Google.

I am about to do my masters in cyber security and I will come back to this comment when I will get my first job in this field… like it so I won’t forget
  • @XinYell
Lovely to see a company like Google creating educational resources

I completed and did this entire course, I will say I don't think you're going to get a job just by doing this. They are very misleading on finding you entry level jobs with "top companies" looking for entry level cyber security employees. There is barely any on the "resource" website they provide which is just another career website like indeed or Monster. They do NOT provide you a list with companies that accept this certificate and help you get into the industry. Take this course with the knowledge that they make it sound easy and amazing to get into the field of cybersecurity but then all the jobs posted require 3-5 years experience and a computer science degree, despite their "COURSE VIDEOS" saying "You don't need a degree, you can get into this job with any background blah blah". This doesn't seem to be really backed up by Google either, why wouldn't they have jobs or recruit people from this certificate? Do it at your own risk to further your skill set but don't expect a 100k median salary as they have claimed. You have been warned.

Normally, we will all fall asleep listening to lectures for over an hour. But Toni's explanation and presentation just keep me red alert. It is well-placed and exciting👍. I totally understand what she was saying. If my lecturer were this good. the complexity and dynamic of cyber security are extremely challenging, and might not be for everyone. But she is making it easy. Thank you, Toni.

I start my cyber security journey with solid foundation "networking/programming/systems...etc", but it very hard to be certified because it very expensive and lack of online resources specially in my country "Sudan" because of war everything is hard for us , I forget about certificates just focusing on knowledge , am doing well I hope to find an online job that help me to carry on cyber security career 💙

I'm currently in my third course, and I'm truly impressed and grateful to the Google team for creating this fantastic educational training program. It empowers individuals who are passionate about learning but have limited time, allowing them to specialize comfortably at their own pace. Given the rapidly increasing demand for cybersecurity, this program offers a quick opportunity to contribute to safeguarding millions of people from scams.

I have less than zero experience in this subject or in anything tech-related but I'm EXTREMELY interested in pursuing this. This video almost makes me feel like I can actually complete this course successfully and find a career in cybersecurity🙂!
