for anyone watching I'm glad to inform you that his parole was denied and he won't have any other chances till 2030 which with his age I doubt he will reach that year and be release.

I know Colleen personally. She is an incredible woman and you would never know this horrible thing happened. She is married and has a kid and a grandkid.

Instead of releasing predators, like Cameron, they should be releasing people that were arrested on marijuana related charges

One of the great things about the way Bailey tells stories is I leave knowing the victims names better than the criminals.

The sad part is that this man has waaaaay better conditions in prison then conditions he kept his victim in for years. Thanks Bailey for giving victims a respect and teaching about Stockholm Syndrom

The reason Coline didn't cry in the stand was because she learned to dissociate. It is one of the most common trauma responses. It shows you how complex the brain is in response to trauma and how adaptive the brain can be.

Colleen was constantly told that The company was going to be after her if she left. The minute she knew that wasn't true, she scaped, I think that answers the question "why didn't she leave?"

I just keep thinking about Janice and Cameron’s children. A mobile home is not large enough to hide any of the things going on from them and they must have so much trauma even as adults

This woman has the willpower of a mountain. To not lose your absolute mind during any part of this. I hope she’s thriving.

I once read about a science experiment with flies in a jar. Initially when placed in the jar, the flies tried tirelessly to escape. As time passed, their attempts became increasingly feeble. Eventually, the scientists removed the lid: none of the flies made any attempt to escape. While we are not flies- the brain is everything, and it is incredibly complicated. Never judge a trauma response

the fact that people kept asking "why didn't they leave" and not "why did this guy do all of these horrible things" blows my mind. the victim blaming is absolutely INSANE and infuriating.

If he could manipulate a 20+ year old into staying in his horror house, then I think it’s fair to say 15 year old Janice had no chance. She’s as much as a victim.

As a survivor of Stockholm Syndrome, I am so appreciative of how compassionately you described it. My captor killed himself the week the investigation into him started, so thankfully I never had to face him in court. It’s been several months since I was freed and I still have nightmares about the two years I spent with him nearly every night. The healing process is so complex and difficult. Thank you for sharing victims’ stories without shaming them for what they were put through.

According to a Google search on Colleen now, she eventually got married years after she escaped, she got an accounting degree, had a child and has one grandchild now and is 65 years old and also helping counsel other women and their trauma. What a beautiful person. My love to Colleen ❤ x

Interesting, I was flipping through my brother's Red Bluff High senior yearbook from 1976. I was shocked to see Janice in the same class, not only that but she was using Cameron's last name. I believe that she'd been with Cameron since she was 15. This was a horrific crime, I was quite young and had nightmares after this. I pray Colleen has peace now.
