We have seen this first hand! Cut our kids off from internet use and only 3 days in we are seeing an improvements in them. It’s amazing to actually see first hand how much social media really effects a person.

The best thing you can do is just simply stop using Facebook

Isn’t google using similar algorithms for content selection? Depressingly, from a business point of view, that’s exactly what most businesses try to do.

Never imagined Facebook, an invisible, social piranha, could be a springboard for mental illness.

Just remember people, if you aren't paying for it, YOU are the product.

I came to this conclusion a while ago, I’m normally a very chill guy but the amount of time and effort spent arguing with strangers on the internet had reached and all time high for me I had to take a step back and ask myself is this using your time wisely.
  • It’s a extremely dangerous thing and should be closed down completely......social media is the absolute scourge of the time 🌹
  • @InkWarrior
Social media being down is a blessing. People just don't realize it.

What a nice social media break. Let's all extend it.
  • Ms Haugen is a Harvard graduate and an outspoken and courageous woman. I'm a retired Medical Laboratory Technologist BS, certified MT ASCP. I joined Facebook on 3 separate occasions and I finally decided it was a steaming pile of excrement filled with boasters, bullies and fools. I use my phone only to converse with friend and family members. If YouTube is a social media site the it's the only one I'm a member of but it is not on my phone. Thank You Frances Haugen for your efforts to protect the world's 60% of Facebook users.
  • I REALLY hope that she just doesn’t “commit suicide” mysteriously

The downfall of Facebook is coming and i am enjoying every minute of it.

Why does the world need a whistleblower to realize all this. Experts have been talking about this for years and that documentary " social dillemma" should be mandatory viewing.

Remember, you can turn Facebook off. It's possible to delete it from your life. Take the first step. Recognize you don't need it.
