This Video covers some basic Deep Rock Galactic tips for newer players. The DRG community is a welcoming one and I want to contribute to that by passing on some of the knowledge that I've gained in my time playing. Let me know if you guys would like to see a continuation of this series and what level (beginner, intermediate, or expert) of tips you would like to see!

If you have extra Nitra at the end of mission, call in as many resupplies as you're able, even if you don't need them at this point. It costs you nothing, and by doing so, you make sure that Karl has all the ammo he needs.

You mention that you don't need to deposit stuff in the drop pod before leaving to get it, but this has its exceptions. You need to deposit big minerals like Enor Pearls and Jadiz in order to get them, and you need to deposit any secondary objectives before leaving to get awarded the bonus.

For solo players: you can make Bosco build the pipes You still have to set them up, but Bosco will build the whole line
  • @malina5442
Also the goo in Mushroom biome reduces the fall damage like snow
  • @KvS1x3
Quick tip! The grappling hook works with Just Cause rules. You can grapple the ground to cancel fall damage.
  • Couple things I've learned, putting an engi's platforms up over doretta during heartstone missions will stop the rocks from falling on it, saving ammo from not having to shoot them. Also engi + driller during rival operations you can build a little staircase up over the caretaker giving driller a perfect place to drop satchel charges on it's head to hit all 4 glowing weak points for MASSIVE DAMAGE lol

Tips for the abyss bar buff drink, even if you’re in a solo lobby you can “disband party” to reset the “special drink” so you can get the buff you want for that run.

One tip I have is that the resupply pods can be used to dig out stuff directly above the spot you placed it. Stuff like Aquarqs or eggs can sometimes be directly above you in the ceiling and can be pretty time consuming to get to because of how the terrain generated. You're probably gonna need to resupply anyways so put that free tunnel the pod will make to good use.

What I love most about DRG it's that it wont make you FOMO, it's always there, waiting for you to come back and you are all happy that you are having fun
  • 1:34 if you are doing a mission with only one Scout and no Engies, then be a bro and tell the Scout he can use your face to break his fall. This helps the already squishy Scout not to be even squishier from lack of hp from trying to mine some nitra on a wall.

1:50 you can also bounce off any bugs that have a solid hitbox like praetorians and oppressors. Saved me from death at least once, also it's really funny to juke their attacks by just jumping over them. I don't know if for example bulk dets or dreadnoughts also work because doing that would be stupid for a lot of reasons

When extracting ask your team if they are ready to leave, once I was looking for a cargo crate and had both batteries but since somebody called the pod I couldn’t find it on time. Be sure everyone is ready to go.

1-There's no need to spam the 'E' or 'Space' key to grab onto stuff, such as pipes or ledges. You can also land on your teammates' heads. 2-When you're in your map, press 'Space,' and good things will happen. Drillers, listen. 3-The waypoint feature allows you to mark things with your marker. You can also press 'E' to set a waypoint. 4-Upgrade your armor, even if you don't use some of the nodes. It will increase your HP. Those are the best tips that i got from the video, thanks! :face-red-heart-shape:
  • Another way to cancel fall damage, specifically as the scout, is to use your grappel hook, if it is attached to something, regardless of if it has started to pull you yet, you take no fall damage. I know most people know this already, especially scout mains, but it is worth repeating.

Beauty of DRG is you can hop on and off. If you want to sweat and fight 3 dreadnought on hazard 4 and barely survive as a team, especially when the cave system is complex and compact with almost zero open surface. You can, or if you want a casual chill warming up on haz 1 or 2 It's possible. Depending on mood. Now i'm close to getting my main promoted and start my first deep dive🙈
  • @Kywu
For the armor, the invulnerability perk after being revived can save your life
  • @Metaretru
For this tip 4:10, be sure to deposit the secondary objective first, as the secondary objective do not count if you extracting with secondary objective in your pocket.
  • I just started playing this game a week ago and im having a blast. Everyone ive come across are respectful and nice, and I have yet to encounter any form of toxicity. One of my friends recently moved to NY and im just super pumped to show him this game when get gets his internet set-up.

Great tips! This game really is special and there are a lot of unknown things that the game doesn't tell you and this will help new players out a lot! One thing I wanted to add was that you can freeze flying enemies to kill them instantly and if you fully light robots on fire then it kills them instantly.
  • @cd8086
Yup a lot of great tips man. I’ve noticed a lot of new players to this game lately so this should help out the green beards 😂
