It's widely accepted that we need to find more efficient and sustainable ways of transporting people and goods from A to B and many companies are beginning to emerge with solutions.

One of which is EAV (Electric Assisted Vehicles) and their fit for purpose delivery vehicle designed to bridge the gap between e-cargo bikes and vans. As combustion vehicles are pushed out the of the cities, could this innovative and sustainable e-cargo bike be the future for last-mile deliveries?

Not just for deliveries but Utilities, maintaining sports grounds, schools, campuses and local authorities doing inspection and cleansing too.

I think Adam hit the nail on the head towards the end of the video. We have a large group of people who are afraid of change. I run into it all the time when I talk about EV's or renewable energy. Their immediate reaction is to look for the negatives and for reasons why new ideas won't work. I'm happy to say I'm in the other camp who think ideas like this are great and whilst on its own won't change the world, aggregated together with lots of other new more sustainable approaches will make a real difference to the world. So good luck to them.

i'm a postie , my round averages 5 miles on foot .. i can see this type of vehicle in my near future
  • @bugsygoo
Here in Copenhagen, most of my deliveries come from the postman on a electric cargo bike. You see them everywhere here. So it has already happened in, shall we say, more forward thinking countries.😬
  • @SILENTIMACT74
The host is great. She is genuinely curious it doesn't come across as though she is given talking points. This is the first episode I watched from beginning to end. Well done.
  • @ohdear670
I want a digital assistant voiced by Robert in his Kryten voice.
  • @marsrover001
slap some solar panels on the roof and you've got a tiny camper bike.
  • @nettlesoup
Another excellent episode with the perfect presenter for the job! Dr. Helen is really in her element here and her enthusiasm for the product and company's sustainability ethos shows. Also, look at that smile on the Ocado cyclist's face! Of all the jobs out there, this can't be a bad one: getting fit out and about (with some electro-assistance), delivering goods safely to customers in need during a pandemic, while staying reasonably dry during the journey. Win, win. Completely agree with Adam's positive attitude. If you imagine groundbreaking things into existence, they can prove themselves worthy of your inventiveness and win over people's hearts and minds.
  • @grahamgfr
I've got five of these on order, looking forward to it, cannot wait 👍
  • @edwardlamb
Absolutely fantastic. We need way more bikes on Fully Charged!
  • @chrisb508
I love it. Sometimes going smaller is better. Today, I used my bike trailer to get a new jogging stroller for my granddaughter. I love it when I can do something like that without a car.
  • @ryanzacsanders
this is actually the change we need for last mile cargo
  • @grizzlymartin1
This guy has a world of opportunity ahead of him with this vision. This EAV could literally roll out the back of a PRIME truck and get the entire neighborhood done without ever moving the truck itself...
  • @timmurphy5541
It's obviously just the glamour but I can't help thinking that Helen is rather wonderful - positive, clever etc. All those things that make one like watching Fully Charged in general.
  • @321tryagain
Helen is a great presenter. I really liked the question about how Adam defined sustainability. It's important to challenge even the well intentioned companies to be their best so that companies with ill-intentions can't get away with greenwashing.
