Its fine everyone cries when iroh sings in that episode about his son
  • @jeremyb5929
There is no shame in crying to Iroh's song to his son.

Remember guys, bullying is wrong, unless you're bullying someone into watching Avatar, that is always right
  • Let's all take a moment to thank Kevin for being a real one for getting Emily a copy of ATLA. Thank you Kevin.

“My first girlfriend turned into the moon” the best spoiler with no context in history
  • @keiji_fiji9954
Emily: "i didnt whatch avatar" Literaly evryone: "THAT'S ROUGH BUDDY"
  • “That’s rough buddy” is so iconic even people who didn’t watch avatar probably know it
  • Man... only the sound of Iroh singing in tales of Bah-Sin-Se made me cry already, this episode is a masterpiece.
  • @antomorales790
I still get emotional by only hearing the scene where zuko apologizes and starts crying to uncle iroh and then he hugs him
  • @miyukisnow5897
I remember I use to pretend I was a waterbender in the shower lol
  • @Abedeuss
The Uncle Iroh episode is doubly sad, because the VA playing him died few months prior to release of the episode, so that was one of the last performances we've seen from him on the show.

4:25 Of course they kissed. If you rewatch attentively, you'll notice: 1- They closed their eyes just before it went completely dark, so they wouldn't immediately notice the light coming back. 2- There was a good moment between it going completely dark and the crystal beginning to glow; considering they had already closed their eyes before, they were probably a couple seconds into their kiss before the first crystals started glowing; but again, they had their eyes closed so it wouldn't interrupt them anyway. 3- As Katara got chatty in awe of the crystals, they were still vwry close and holding hands, their fingers intertwined, in a way that would be awkward unless their had just shared some degree of intimacy. 4- When Aang tried to say something (probably confess his love, as he's been trying since 'The Fortuneteller') and Katara just ran away, Aang smiled rather than being disappointed, which means he at least got the kiss. 5- After leaving the cave Aang is all smug about 'trusting in love', subtly showing his desire to boast about his long-desired kiss. 6- When the hippies sing the last song, Katara blushes as they talk about love in the dark, as she recalls what just happened. 7- From here onwards, every single romantic moment between them has the musical leitmotif play again, meaning this is where their romance first blossomed. This scene also comes back in flashbacks such as when he's opening the chakras. So obviously they kissed. To finish all of this off, the creators have confirmed this moment was their first kiss. Whether the kiss is actually what made the rocks light up or that was just Katara's excuse for kissing Aang, I don't know.

It gets even sadder when you realize it’s a memorial for his original voice actor.

"In my defense, I didn't have cable." That. That really explains everything.
  • "I can take it.. you've never held back before". ~ And Zuko alone was a very impactful episode. He does his best by folks, and reveals who he truly is, only for those same people to hate him simply for who he is, and not seeing who he's trying to become. He even gave his childhood dagger to the boy, only for it to be thrown back at him. Besides Iroh and Mai, Zuko really didn't have anyone close to him that truly cared for him. It makes his growth all the more meaningful, and his eventual friendship with the Aang-gang deeply touching.
  • @goblinbabe
Zuko redirecting his fathers lightening has never hit so damn hard before. I cannot believe as kids we all got to watch a show so so so good.

emily 0.00001 seconds after seeing the only air head in the show: omg i love her alrady
  • @yeye9688
    Emily - “ I haven’t watched avatar.” Me - That’s rough buddy
  • Held back tears while also smiling when she cried during Leaves From the Vine. I'm glad the show still holds up and makes me feel everything I felt when first watching it, even after having seen it dozens of times.
