  • Something I’ve noticed is that with practically every other group, the quad parts are basically the snare part but around the drums, but with Paul Rennick’s writing the quad and snare parts weave in and out and through each other and everything just flows so nicely and it’s so much more interesting to listen to.

Damn nobody even close to rivals the musicality and melodic content of this writing. Its like you can hear the melody in the drum parts. UGH SO GOOD

Finally a line that knows how to tune a snare.

consistently perfect. well-deserved Sanford award. Although, I don't think the tenor drums cut through on the field.

You are telling me a group from California uses innovative percussion. Nice

I like how they buzz roll down each section from tenors to bass to snares and back to bass 3:30

That girl is definitely in her comfort zone - not even breaking a sweat. Another observation: just looking at her form especially her right arm. Many snares play today "chicken-winging" with their right arm. She definitely has a natural hang to her arms and good flex in the writst. Great job! .

The space between the last beat of the tap off and the first beat of the chunk at 2:30 🤔
