Cutting and single point threading Remington barrel Model 700 .223 With logan 14" lathe. Adding taper (VPT mod) for positive alignment of attachment.

    Fun stuff! Crowning is usually just to protect the rifling from scuffs and dings, and to a limited extent a perfect 360° symmetry for escaping gases as much as they will affect the projectile's path. much more important on precision long range stuff than shorter lengths, and negligible for cleaning supplies. ;)
