Food Basics in Pickering is where I always shop. Since this started they have had TONNES of really great sales. like up to 40% off, 50% off in some cases.

Who are these organizers. Why do people need organizers to tell us where to shop.
  • Labels is scary. First groceries then health care clinics then they try to control what brands if medications you buy. Next, THE WORLD!!!!

It is forever now. Why would we go to a place that privatizes profits and socializes losses
  • @Etobeeshawn
Yeah, extending the "boycott" past May on the hope(s) that more people will give a rats behind about this online boycott and hopefully gain even the slightest interest, attention etc.

Living across the street from Loblaws , the parking lot is as full as ever

Cut the carbon tax! Diesel is used to produce, and transport everything in this country.
  • Imagine if the politician's "leading" the country into the ground signed a code of conduct.

Good it’s obviously working just going by the actions of la blaws this passed two weeks
  • i find it CRAZY that the NDP are always promoting this boycott when Jagmeets BROTHER is a lobbyist for Loblaws competitors. Clear conflict of interest and yet no one is holding the NDP accountable.
  • @TreDogOfficial
Well I respect voluntary boycotts over political ironfist price controls. That's a characteristic of a civilized society.

I rarely shop there. But mostly because of their inability to source quality produce.

Subreddits a complete echo chamber, I can't have my opinion or share my story without having my posts removed. Who's backing you to push this boycott
  • @RR-xu5xk
This boycott has been great. Go into No Frills and less people in lines.

👍Absolutely, I have already made the decision to keep going on the boycott of LOBLAW ! I will Support the Farmers' Market, Local Butchers, Local Grocery Stores. After the the 2015 BREAD PRICE FIXING , I am done with the GROCERY HOGS ! We need more competition in this COUNTRY, that goes for alot of things ! Consumers MUST DEMAND BETTER !
  • In Vancouver, there are many small Persian grocery stores that carry a great selection of produce at lower prices than big grocery outlets. I don't go to Cosco anymore, which saves me half of my bills.
  • @PatrickRKay
The boycott not working it’s just making them more popular
  • @brettthomas5605
Why is this boycott just against Loblaws? When some competitors are even worse.
These high food prices are not just in Canada. It's an international problem!!
