the writing for this episode is out of this world

I've watched so many reactions to this episode because none of my friends really appreciate the X-Men. But every time I do, I cry every single time. This episode is so devastatingly powerful
  • @EmperorPilaf04
I'm obsessed with watching people react to this episode. It's so devastating, everyone has the same emotional, completely shocked reaction to that ending. One of the greatest episodes of tv ever made, and I'll fight people over it.

Did anyone else notice the slight reference to Schindler's List when Oskar Schindler was lamenting that he could have saved more people from the Nazi camps. Magneto being a Jewish Nazi survivor himself, it makes so much sense.

Damn, "The sacrifice of a piece in an attempt to tip the balance" my man Gambit finding new ways to resignify his own name
  • @hermzgacho8548
In chess, a gambit is a sacrifice to gain an advantage usually to protect and advance the queen. In this case Gambit made the ultimate sacrifice. A very poetic symbolism. A bittersweet moment. That is why this episode for me cuts deep and now you know why he is my favorite X-Men and even my favorite Marvel character of all time.

Magnus saying “do not be afraid” in German hits so hard. You can tell that moment brought him right back to the camps :(

i cried. rogue is my favorite x-man. remy and rogue have always been one of my favorite story couples, and this really shows why. he loves her so much and in ways she doesn't always understand, but does feel. even if she can't touch.
  • @fatwolf
The ending mirroring what Wanda says to the dead Vision got me. This was the best thing that Marvel/Disney+ has ever done.
  • @elio85italy
Gambit sacrificed himself without knowing that Rogue choosed him in the end. The only thing missing at my advice, is the godzilla sentinel saying "omega level mutant detected" before exploding. It should be the ultimate glorification for Remy.
  • @Pepsolman
Wow. What an epic episode. My ‘kids show’ grew up and got real. I’ll… always… remember it.
  • @DanielDiaz-um1xd
Beasts end line is not only well performed (as is Rogue's) but also sums up the episode "oh my"
  • @vinnie906
One of the things that got me the hardest was Madelyne getting her closure with Nathan right before she died.
  • @Samsung_Knignt
Lenore Zann deserves several awards just for that Cry at the end. Cyberspace felt that one. 😩
  • @hunterpdx7061
The XMen are great because they mix incredible action with deep social commentary and a cast of delightful, engaging characters who all wear their hearts on their collective sleeves. This is top tier television. I've been reliving this half hour over and over again these past two days through reaction videos and I get choked up every time. Hurts so good. Give this show the award for Best Animated Series; everyone else can go home.

Finally a reactor that knows who Exodus is. I'm hoping we see a lot more of him

They did SUCH a great job on the Wild Sentinel! And the way they’re condensing multiple story runs together without disrespecting the source material is artful. We don’t need more than one Marvel movie this year cause this is EPIC!

Cable said "not again," so I assume he's been trying to prevent events (or at least save his mom) multiple times.
