I don't think there is a single anime scene out there that can consistently give me the same level of joy as the bike race from episode 5 of Golden Boy. Every time I watch it is I get the same level of hype and excitement like the first time I watched it in highschool. This scene is a masterpiece of surreal animated absurdity.

One of the most legendary sequences in anime. Not even joking. Incredibly animated. Absolutely hilarious, emotionally cathartic. The insanity is what literally pushes the story forward to new heights. It's incredible.
