The IT Crowd is a British sitcom originally broadcast by Channel 4, written and directed by Graham Linehan, produced by Ash Atalla and starring Chris O'Dowd, Richard Ayoade, Katherine Parkinson, and Matt Berry. Set in the offices of the fictional Reynholm Industries in London, the series revolves around the three staff members of its IT (Information Technology) department: computer programmer Maurice Moss (Richard Ayoade), work-shy Roy Trenneman (Chris O'Dowd), and Jen Barber (Katherine Parkinson), the department head/relationship manager who knows nothing about IT. The show also focuses on the bosses of Reynholm Industries: Denholm Reynholm (Chris Morris) and later, his son Douglas (Matt Berry). Goth IT technician Richmond Avenal (Noel Fielding), who resides in the dark server room, also appears in a number of episodes.

  • There are two implications to this joke, and they're both hilarious. 1. Denholm is luring his own son to hell. 2. Hitler, Denholm, and Douglas all somehow made it into heaven.
  • Gotta give Douglas some credit, Guy was smart enough to realise where his dad was trying to take him to, that’s actually surprising for him

His own father really tried to lure him into hell

I think this is the only scene they share in the whole run.
  • I love the trope that when media depicts Hell the first one to show up is Hitler.

"We're having a Heaven party, and that's... a Hitlergram." Lol!
  • The very specific way that Chris Morris pauses ever so slightly between "that wasn't Hitler that was a..." "...woman" is so fucking funny and perfectly done. It's so confident but with the most infitessimaly small and subtle hint of panic while he quickly thinks of what to say and then lands on the word "woman" and instantly decides that description will do the job even though it's so obviously a lie... perfect.
  • Steven Toast is the greatest actor of our generation, he even shaved his mustache for this role
  • @SuperUnhappyman
Denholm totally would offer up his first born to satan to get out of hell Douglas made the right call
  • I need to watch this show. Matthew Berry is gold, a national treasure for the UK. Though as a darkplace fan it tripped me out to hear his name is Douglas.

Hard to believe this entire time that he was a vampire. It's crazy
  • Reynolm: Douglas, i'll see you later. Douglas: Not if i see you first. Me: Roflmao
  • Hitler is so fucking cute. He just leaned so smoothly around the corner because he wanted to see the new guy
