My Son is stationed there and has to pay $3500 a month and commute an hour because no base housing was available. That's insane! Base housing should absolutely be for Active Duty.

Doing the bare minimum isn't the same as doing well. There should have have been at least 90 days notice.

How many people were surprised to hear military retirees even lived on base? This was news to me. I remember being on the waiting list for base housing.

I'm retired military. Retirees and other civilians should never have been allowed to live there. They knew they could be removed. Time these families learned to give up the government teat.

Buy your home ,and stop using the gov. After you retire for free housing. Your retirement is very good you should have saved. Sorry you didn’t. But you still have alot of benefits.

Typical shallow reportage: Why not ask them about the fact that Trump took military housing money to build the wall in Texas? It was not emphasized then, it is completely ignored now.

Wow. Who knew that non-active service folks were even allowed to live there? You are either in the military, with the rights and privileges in your contract, or you are done and finished. Cannot have it both ways. Either serve or live like the rest of the civilians. Seems like a lot of folks are sucking at the public tit, just like a lot of users, abusers, and users. (including a lot of politicians with their little schemes and bribes).
