That looks like it's too much fun for a person to have! Yet, I can't stop thinking how exciting it must be to be able to fly with almost no power but the wind and thermal currents.

How much? No doubt shockingly expensive, well beyond the budget of 99% of us watching this! This craft was invented back in the late 80' to early 90s by an aeronautical engineer. I remember watching him demonstrate it, self launching like a bird, with his own two feet. Genius. He designed and built it himself with carbon fiber. It made such an impact on me, seeing a self launch plane that could glide effortlessly, I never forgot it. Looks like they finally put his idea into actual production. What attracted me was, with plans, you could build one yourself affordably.

The narration is generated from an artificial intelligence source. You’ll find more and more of this. It’s rather cringeworthy to listen to but it gets the job done.

Hi, thanks for sharing this video I've been looking for ever about the archaeopteryx until I saw it this morning on you tube, thank you!!!

The whole thing is made of foam. If you get bored up there you can start breaking bits off the cockpit and scrunching the foam in to tiny pieces using only your bare hands, very satisfying and relaxing.

The electric version every time for me.
