Yeah. I especially liked Bogeyman, he was a different kind of monster - even though he's not grotesque or physically ugly, he's just so sinister and eerie and ominous, maybe because you can't see a single part of his actual body, not to mention his size and his breathing noise. Also, when it is revealed just what exactly he represents, it's mindblowing. One of the best monsters in the series if you ask me, right next to PH :)

Want to finish this game so badly. Every 360 disk I buy has a ring and freezes at the exact same place. I'm going to have to get it on PS3. Silent Hill 2 and 3 (the only other two I've played/beaten) were really creepy, but this game is legit scary. Probably my favorite SH

I frankly agree. I personally think SH 2 was overrated. It is OBVIOUSLY not a bad SH game, hell, it's one of the best, but not THE best for me. 3 was better IMO, and so was Downpour. Homecoming was pretty disappointing for a SH game, though.

Nah, it was a really great game that brought back some credibility to the series after one too many poor spinoffs. But as many positive things (the fantastic sidequests, the return of a large explorable town, murphy who i thought was excellent, a brilliant storyline & a solid OST) the game also has problems with choppiness, freezing, lack of enemy variants and the biggest issue being it isn't even 10% as scary as the first three Silent Hill games. Its great, really good, but, not the best SH :)

Its ideas, characters, and areas are among some of my favorite in the series. But the execution of everything is so lackluster, on top of it having a ton of immersion-breaking bugs and issues.
