I bought this bike a year ago it took 6 months to recieve. When I received it the GPS and speedometer didn't work. For two months they tried to convince me it was my fault not doing something right. It turned out that it wasn't me They then wanted me to install a stabilization kit and I finally pleaded with them to take it back and fix it. They agreed to fix the GPS, the speedometer, and install the stabilization kit. They have had the bike for over four months and did nothing but let it rust. They informed me they are waiting on parts for the GPS system, and when I asked about everything else they would say the bike was fixed on multiple occasions. Now in response to my complaint the bike wasnt fixed at all, they say to me that I never told them about the speedometer or the stabilization kit, there are dozens of emails we had in regards to exactly that. Like I said, it's been a year since purchase, I essentially just got my bike and it's worse than when they said they fixed it. I don't know if this is some kind of a joke to them, its nothing but stress for me. In theory I would love the bike and the company, but in reality they have been terrible to deal with and here a year later I have a the same problem, now rusted over(minor issue really). I will add that they said I could take it to a shop to have it fixed and they would cover the cost, one of the reasons they had it shipped to them, I can't find anyone. I was patient at one point, but now I'm also a nightmare to deal with so I'll give them credit for that. That bike is smooth, fast. I don't think there is another bike out there like this, it's pretty nuts. I can't say I don't want the bike, but I really don't know how to feel or what to think. At this point I just want my money back.

Thanks for the mini review. Was hoping for a real, on the road and direct comparison to the eagle review. I understand it's hard to get one to do that.

I wish can motorworks had a rear rack and that they had more financing options
  • The front suspension on the Eagle is more enduro angled and this is more straight up...probably affects handling
  • My Delfast does not get anywhere near the range stated on the web site, which is disappointing. In reality, my Delfast only gets 60 km/40 miles range riding fast, but I can stretch that to 120 km or 80 miles range taking it easy at 25 kph/15 mph. Maybe I could get more range if I ride even slower, but that isn't very realistic. The torque is mediocre and the top speed of 80 kph/50 mph can be achieved at an underwhelming rate of acceleration, but its good enough for me. It certainly looks off road capable, but it can not climb hills steeper than 10 to 15 degrees, so only mild off roading is possible on hard ground. The tires are designed for pavement or hard pack and not mud. If you want traction in mud, get dirt bike tires. It really performs best on the street. It is fine on flat to moderate hilly terrain. The suspension is excellent with the adjustable DNM Volcano front forks and the DNM BURNER RCP-25 rear shock. I am not sure about the KKE front forks on the newest model, since they are a downgrade in quality from my Delfast model. The dual front hydraulic disc brakes and the single rear disk brake have effective stopping power in combination with the rear hub motor's regenerative braking. The regen saves on brake pad wear, because the regen does most of the work of braking. I notice the latest model has been downgraded to single hydraulic brake on the front and not double like mine. The stock headlight is utterly pathetic, because it lights up only a narrow patch on the road in front of the bike and I had to install additional lighting to do the job properly. The software app for my bike would not connect and when I contacted Delfast the service tech told me the app wasn't fully functional, which I found disappointing. I love my Delfast, but I don't like the exaggerated 200 mile range stated on the website and their stupid app that doesn't function as advertised. I believe truth in advertising is very important and adds credibility to a company. On the whole, my Delfast is a very good ebike, and the build quality of mine is excellent. I have ridden it over 3000 km since October 2021 and I have no complaints about my Delfast so far, except what I mentioned earlier. It is really well built and I am confident it will last many years. I hope so, because I don't know about after sales service.

I ordered the bike last year 11/2022 and still no real updates on the status of order. The customer service is non existent. Very disappointing.
  • @miguel360kmc
Delfast only has the Guinness book record of longest range because other ebike companies dont wont to spend the $20-$30,000 it would cost to have them come out and record the ride. Nevermide the expenses in having a rider do the ride. I do like the bike and do want one but hate that range lie. 😒
  • @FlyingFun.
Nothing special and not worth 6k or whatever it is. Rear hub motors are ok but not much good off road or in bike lanes really. I just converted my old bike with a cheap 1000w hub drive for about £300 plus the bike and it gets ok performance , But I have a bafang ultra mid drive bike too and that blows it away if road.
  • My e-bike gained 21 pounds when I put heavy duty tires, and self sealing tubes on it….I missed it only weighing 102 pounds…the normal MTB tires was way lighter…but dangerous’ My bike now feels safer and secure. These bikes are heavy as hell….I ride a Stealth bomber clone, and some can weight up to 180 pounds’ It’s fun effortlessly passing 50cc and 150cc mopeds or scooters….electric scooter only does 42MPH….but has slow acceleration.
