This song takes me back. This song gives me good feelings and bad feeling at the same time. It makes me feel good because, I remember this being such a great time in my life & and it makes me feel bad knowing I can't get these days back. I was so young and it seemed like the possibilities where endless. I remember watching MTV at my friends house & always seeing this video. Life isn't bad now, I just didn't realize how good it was back then. I sure do now. I guess we all miss our youth.

I had the pleasure of meeting these guys once when I we were young, they didn't write their music in the hopes of making it big or getting rich and famous, they genuinely wrote their songs to give people hope! Not only did they tell me so to my face, but it is obvious in their lyrics! These gentlemen and their Entire family are Hero's in my book! And the Nelsons always will be!

The words in the beginning strike hard . My father used to say " I hope the world eats you alive " . Also when I got a guitar in 79 " Youll give it up in a week " . Now that part of my hand is amputated . I never stopped playing in 43 years . Diagnosed over two years ago with Stage 4 Cancer and not expected to live that summer out . My father has since passed and I fight through the pain . . I've cried " Did you really want the world to eat me alive ? " Let it rain .

I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Nelson twice live.... they were amazing.. Entire band exceptional, Gunnars vocals were perfect... really great shows !!!!

After the rain was the first CD I ever bought at my local Manchester, Connecticut Kmart back in 1990. I will never forget these guys. Sadly that Kmart is no longer there but the memories will live with me forever.

90's flashbacks of watching MTV and learning all these songs on guitar in my room - with my amp propped up into the window so the whole neighborhood could hear. Such a fantastic album - literally listened to it straight through while driving from NOLA back to Austin the other day. Brett Garsed is an amazing, very underrated guitarist who brought so much melody to this record.
