Decluttering can be not only physically draining, but also intellectually and emotionally draining! But despite all the hard work, SO rewarding and satisfying when it's done! Such a great feeling!!
  • @Briardie
I remember after having my child I really appreciated how clever my body was. I felt the most feminine I ever felt. I embraced it flabby bits and all its imperfections. We have a habit of finding fault with our physical selves, but we should appreciate our health and what we are able to do. Not everyone has that. You have spurred me on to sort out my own closets now. Great video.

What a satisfying declutter, I really feel that it helps clear the mind! After my son was born I started devluttering, 8 years later, I'm still at it!

I think you made such a valid point that when we declutter we can feel we've wasted money on clothes and can feel guilty about buying more but adding even a few new items that make us feel better can give us such a boost, we're worth it! I'm 57 so now coping with a menopause body and just finding replacement clothes in the shops is hard.

Your body grew a little person. That's an amazing body regardless of any change 😊

After you’ve had all your children the next huge shock to the body is menopause. Nothing is the same. Everything changes, almost overnight. It is a huge shock. Of course I’m generalising, there are some women who sail through. I don’t know any though.
  • You looked stunning in that dark blue dress! I hope you felt that way too and kept it 🙂Great job! Decluttering clothes that don't make you feel good about yourself is so very important! Have a lovely day <3
  • So important to dress for your body now. You’ve inspired me! Clothes are not forever. X
  • This video came at just the right time, I have been wanting to declutter my closet as well. This was so motivating!! And I loved the message about being happy with the body your have now. Being in a different season of life myself, this is something I want to remember. Thanks Kay❤

It's great you decluttered Kay! Makes such a difference cleaning a closet as it seems to declutter the mind too! I am British living in the US and noticed when i moved here over 20 years ago. how large closets were, and people had so many clothes, i could not believe it! Almost lik the size of diner food plates!! Clothes were so cheap and abundantly available! I never really found a style for myself since i got into the trap of buying cheap clothes all the time for myself and my kids! I felt shopping was quite an American pastime! Finally seriously began to declutter all the clothes and found my style. Simple, floral dresses, sweaters, cardigans, t-shirts and skirts. A few pairs of shoes. I do not have typical summer/winter wardrobe, i just layer nice cardigans/sweaters over dresses/skirts. I remind myself, growing up in the UK we had small wardrobes, very little clothes and ate simply so i try to emulate that now. Thank you and God bless
  • I think the navy blue smocked dress looked lovely on you. I was telling you through the screen to keep it 😊. I’m large chested too and I love a square neckline like that x
  • Hi Kay, loved the video as always, full of motivation and inspiration! Have a wonderful weekend 😘

I'm in the middle of doing this just now. I'm 5 months pregnant and getting rid of things I don't wear (Vinted is the best!) and packing away things I won't wear until next year at least. I want the house to be a clutter free for the baby arriving so first stop is to clean out all my old clothes.
  • @amirey123
Oh!!!! You still have your beautiful fluffy kitties!! So glad! Sometimes its hard to declutter clothes!!! Ya dont want to let go of some but ya know ya have ta.

Saw a post earlier on menopause and thought I would elaborate on it….There is peri-menopause, menopause and then post -menopause. Period with peri-menopause, then no period for 12 consecutive months, then after no period for 12 months, so the 13th month, it’s called post-menopause. Piece of advice when the time comes , communicate with a GYN doctor about HRT or other ways to help. It was a huge game changer for me. The flashes pretty much gone, mood swings lessened, night sweats, anxiety lessened, heart palpitations, achy joints are gone, etc. The benefits are really important because without estrogen, inflammation throughout the body increase dramatically, can delay changes in skin, it slows the ageing process as well. My advice, when you turn 40… watch your weight because the weight gain is quick once the estrogen/ progesterone decline. Try to lose 1 stone once you start a few symptoms like night sweats. Weight gain is inevitable with most women. Love your vlog ! You are so clever ❤
  • @Karincl7
My policy these days if I should loose weight I deserve some new pieces not the ones in the back of my wardrobe. Good job Kay lovely video
  • Hi Kay we all have body changes specially when we get older. We just have to learn how to love ourselves no matter what. 👍👍❤
  • @KristyStrange
In the middle of this video I decided to finally do a massive clear out of my wardrobe, so definitely inspired by this 😂 Thank you!
  • @Kimmy-rh1ry
Its such a goid feeling to clean out. I too had tons of clothes I didn't wear. I am no longer shopping for my future body, and getting rid of everything I don't feel good in
