Your channel has the coolest houses. Regular trailer based tiny houses are fun but there's only so much you can do within the boundaries provided by the trailer. You always feature unique and interesting homes

The only reason I’m considering a dome house is so I can live in the Gulf. Where there are Hurricanes. Dome homes survive the winds and if they can be placed the right way, they can survive the surges as well.

Very cool space! It was both interesting and disappointing - I was hoping for a tour of the whole place. ♥
  • The owner of this structure is fortunate to live in this magnificent home. It's a work of art. By the maker and the owners.

We've been inside this, but we live here, so it was easy to see it.
  • Wow the new people have done a great job of renovating this place. It had gotten pretty run down. Sedona is so highly sought after I was afraid someone would buy it for the land and tear down the "crazy colored Easter eggs" so relieved to see this beautiful rehab. Huge congrats to the new owners for their vision.
  • How about, instead of a dome, you built an oval? Same materials, but orienting the broad sides to the morning and evening sun. Thin side toward the noon day sun would limit heat absorption during the hottest part of the day. Emulate a termite mound. They know what's up.

I remember seeing this home on HGTV years ago, they were showcasing unique homes. Except back then, each dome was painted a different bright color and it was owned by a family with kids.

I remember they had a very similar house in Gatlinburg, Tn during the 80’s and 90’s, it was called the Xanadu House. Very cool.

I do like these shapes. I loved making miniature things like this when I was a kid just playing❣️❤️ So, of course the idea of living in a giant version appeals to me.
  • i remember many fun parties in that domes family home... creative joy for sure! the fountain was beautiful and complimented the energy and feel of the place... as did the mushroom pedastle bed... the largest dome was a recording studio... they used to be different colors on the outside too. Nice to know of the new life of this unique place. It was calming to be in that space. I imagine guests really enjoy their stay their! Sedona is still a special place... even if overrun by tourism and retirees now!

JUST LOVE THIS HOME AND THE PEOPLE!!!

My father was the actual contractor for the dome home and the Xanadu homes in Wisconsin and Orlando. Sadly he passed away in the 80s due to exposure of the chemicals in these homes. I got actually photos of me as a five your old on the sites when they blew up the bubbles and sprayed them with foam.
  • I love monolithic sprayed domes! Some part of me wonders if they can be DIY constructed using aircrete which is lighter but sometimes easier to work with. Regardless they are so cool!

I've been looking for contractors who actually build dome homes, but they are difficult to find. Most of the ones I've found simply show photo albums or DIY information, but little else. Still interesting seeing all the possibilities out there.
  • You have a way of Finding Amazing content for your channel ! I can't wait to see what next weeks video will be.
  • I absolutely love this home! It’s a beautiful design and a wonderful concept to share it with others. The only draw back for me is the white walls in every room. I need color but that is just my personal preference. Even with the white walls it is a spectacular home! Cheers
