Here is our lab process for mycelium tissue culturing for both liquid and agar media. The most important part is cleanliness and a sterile environment to reduce risk of contamination. We do this every 2-4 weeks to ensure a healthy catalog of fast-growing mycelium strains at our farm.

  • It is rather relaxing to hear you talk and there is a lot of useful information. You Sir are truly the Bob Ross of mushroom growing!

His setup explains why I get anxiety every time I'm about to inoculate. You either have a NASA setup or live in mortal terror of the mold menace.
  • You can really tell that he is coming from the ground, building this up. All the og tips that we get from him, if we don’t have the proper equipment are very helpfull. Today i just started my mykology class in university and i‘m so excited to do all the experiments like i see in you’re videos. Couple months ago i saw a video from you and that got me hooked up to mushrooms, so thanks a lot!

Mushrooms will help us traverse the universe not only mentally but physically. Such a great overall nutritional source.
  • I absolutely love that when you say something is fun you show no indication that you're having fun haha
  • I can tell you love this and you’re spreading the love ! Learning tons. Been looking for a way to grow my own food and came upon your channel and it’s opening my mind to even more possibilities. Thanks!

man you designed your whole facility like a mad scientist! the bigger im getting and the more consultation based work I do, the more I wish I could have been apart of building the beautiful farm&facility you have at Southwest.. wicked!
  • Thank you so much for sharing Mike, the details make all the difference and help to avoid numerous mistakes. There are few people with the willingness and ability to share this knowledge so well and so simply. Again, thank you very much. Hugs from Brazil.
  • Thank you so much for the video! Awesome video quality and excellent information explained to the level where the hobby mycologist can take it all in and not feel overwhelmed! Can't wait to see more!!

Great video. I especially enjoyed the part at the end, when he's just talking about his favourite mushrooms to grow and substrates and what not while still doing transfers. Gives me confidence that maybe I can succeed in it too.
  • @chbitt
