Why Penelope Is A Boring SML Character

She coulda been a cool character but then she just became another Rose but for Juniors group like how Richard is another Goodman for Juniors group

SML is bursting with potential, but Logan just... doesn't use it. I just realized I like the IDEAS of SML, not how Logan actually EXECUTED them. I like the idea of Cody and Penelope being friends, but Logan had Cody immediately betray her and destroyed their friendship. I like the idea of Penelope being Brooklyn Guy's daughter, but Logan made them dysfunctional sitcom family number 530281. I like the idea of Brooklyn Guy having a whole family, but again, Logan doesn't seem to be able to imagine anything other than "they all hate each other". I like the idea of Rosalina being sweet and naïve but well-meaning, but Logan just has her be stupid, annoying, and defends Jeffy no matter how wrong he is. I care for a version of the show that does not exist, and keep deluding myself into thinking it does...

She just exist for the show to use “haha girl bad” trope. Let’s just say the Junior x Penelope is just…trash. Not like I defend Penelope but Junior is super malicious towards her like he really went out his way being so overreacting and even kidnapping her to like him again. Honestly I literally forgot that Penelope is Brooklyn Guy’s Daughter like oh that happened I guess. But even then both seems to not really care for each other due to Brooklyn Guy’s manchild behavior recently. Overall it’s Logan’s direction, especially every female characters in modern SML. They tend to feel like they are treated as a joke which is “Haha Girls Bad”

Yeah, it kinda makes you wonder why she is never important enough to be in the main spotlight because of how Logan never gives her any character moments other than being a bland love interest for Junior.

She is Brooklin Guy's daughter and well.. She is so boring and doesn't have Character development and has Miss and wasted Potential too. And Her being with Junior was the worst mistake SML ever made in Modern SML since Timmy and Cody! Junior always torture Peneolpe to do stuff like a slave and he is so toxic! Even Disrespecting her too. Peneolpe really needs to break up with Junior. I mean seriously, This stuff is not funny anymore. She really needs to break up with Junior.🐴😒

I kinda have a feeling that Logan and Lilly are gonna have the somewhat same type of relationship as Penelope and Brooklyn Guy have if they don’t change the schedule

The fact that Penelope is the daughter of Brooklyn and Karen yet we never see any family bonding even we see that with The Jeffy and Jr family dynamics same with her interactions with her grandma and Uncle Jonathan being very limited. Also how would Penelope react to Ganster Black Yoshi and Gross cheese cake loving Shrek .

I like Penelope nowadays more than I did back then. She was always going “SHUTUP JUNIOR!!!” and was just a plot device motivation for Junior. Her reasoning for dating Junior was literally as badly done as the reason why Jeffy didn’t inherit his millions. She’s more like a way for Logan to vent his frustration about modern day women’s mindsets, That being said..don’t get me wrong… I wasn’t mad when my lil boo Rachel was voicing her😏

She had so much potential to be a different character than Rose and Karen, but because Logan's writing has gone downhill, we know NOTHING about her, and the "jokes" she did make were so obnoxious and repetitive. I was open to the dating arc with her and Junior because I was sort of hoping for character growth, but Penelope is just Rose 2.0 with her obnoxious screaming and her jumping to conclusions. I obviously hate Junior too, because of his horrendous behavior as a boyfriend. I honestly think that the show is turning Penelope into a Butt-Monkey, with the way Junior, Joseph, Jeffy, and Brooklyn Guy treat her, but I don't sympathize with her whatsoever.

Ray once suggested for Penelope to have her own episode (like how it happened with Brooklyn Guy and Mr. Goodman); I’m now hoping for that to happen 🤞🏻

Logan doesn't know how to write girls.

I remember when SML asked people what they thought about Penelope and if the general audience liked her or not when she first appeared. Everybody stated they didn't like her and she served no purpose , and surprisingly, Logan made her disappear for a couple of months. Good times.

Not surprised Penelope is a wasted character. Logan writes all his women characters the exact same. Its kinda gross honestly.

Penelope isn’t really a great character in my option.

I was really excited for a character like Penelope, thinking she'd be like the old Brooklyn Guy who was the vioce of reason, but you know, feminist. Then she quickly devolved into a one dimensional caricature of a teenage girl written in the perspective of a guy whose never talked to women before

Penelope is kinda like a mix bag between great and kinda weird because off the whole dating arc with Junior, especially at the beginning of the whole arc where she was paranoid about Junior, when she was introduced, her voice actor, Chilly really didn’t fit her, she’s still great in my opinion

I miss back when Rachel voiced her (no disrespect to Elaina obviously) and she was the girl who was oblivious to the fact that her crush didn't play for the same team as her, while Junior would simp for her. Now she's just… another girl character in the SML universe. And I still think her and Junior don't work as a couple.

I think they could’ve made her a smarter softer version of Junior — and that playing into what got them hanging out/dating — the fact that both their dad’s aren’t really around — the fact they both go home to somebody who can’t cook etc.

Penelope is any typical girl from a kids cartoon series: 1.good in class 2.doesn't like boys 3.gets easily annoyed 4.has a crush on someone who doesn't even feel the same(formally with cody.)
