Good thing Pritzker mandated body cams and this dude is now in jail awaiting trial. What a disgrace.
  • @RJoftheWest
Has anyone else noticed that he had an attitude? Kinda difficult to comply if you're being threatened with death in your own home from the people who are supposed to help.

What happens when you give weak people power. Lethal power.
  • "He disclosed a history of alcohol abuse on a job application." Whoa!!!

When the least of us is free is when we are all truly free. Rest in peace Sonya Massey.

Officer told her to take the pot off the flame, then he shot her for having the pot in her hands. One more time, she took the order from the officer to take the pot off the flame, then he shot her for having the pot in her hands.

Are really trying to telling everyone that a police officer. With all his unarmed training cant talk to a little women without pointing a gun at her ???
  • @merrim7765
And the 2nd guy pulls his gun as if they were both in danger!! Instead of calming his colleague and getting them out of there -- neither had respect for her.
  • @charangel
Ms. Massey identified evil in this man and she rebuked him. I'm so sorry the situation ended as it did.

Sonya seemed calm for the most part. She may have been tired perhaps nervous or scared at two taller armed guys (cops) with raised voices walking in her house. The cop who shot her first didn’t need to patronize her telling her that it’s not hard for her to remember her last name. Her saying, “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.”, in a calm voice, probably should have warrented a chuckle from one of the cops or something, and a response like, “hahah, that’s a good one ma’am.” She did not lunge at any of the cops with the pot, she wasn’t raising her voice or yelling at the cops at the top of her lungs. Sonya was practically murdered. The cops are definitely in the wrong on this one.
