Since Apex started taking actions, high-level lobbies are empty and just full of bots. Weird.

"It is tiring having to always wonder what I need to do to improve, when my cheating opponent might have created an impossible problem for me to solve." Well said!

Xim/cronus has genuinely ruined cross play fps. As a former contract esports player its really really sad to see things like. A ban wave wiping out 80% of high elo lobbys for a few weeks. People like to cope and say cheating isnt common but the last year we breached the threshold in most games. Where a net total of over 51% of high ranked players (at least in games like cod) were in some way tool assisted

Wild to think that in D1 Lupo was opening using a Xim and that was his "niche" that drew people to him, like nobody had an issue with it back then because nobody really understood just how bonkers it was.

Holy shit this video is really good, genuinely covered nearly every bullet point I could think of w/o giving out named examples and just got to the point and actually showed the advantages and disadvantages. You cooked.

IM SO GLAD YOU SAID IT! The 20% dead zone has been my actual nightmare. I legit thought it was me being bad at games. Like it was crazy coming back from a hiatus from apex with its ALC settings and then getting a dual sense edge and having even greater control of dead zones and stick sensitivity, I was absolutely eating with customization in Apex. Then I cam back to D2 and wanted to grind rank there again but my aim felt SOOOO slow, literally like you said like dragging my sticks thru mud. I was so confused. I now see it is just D2 forced bullshit. I have to have a separate profile just to make my aim feel slightly comparable to what it is in Apex. Glad to know finally. I can stop tripping.

“Underwater with aimbot” is an outrageously accurate way to describe controller aim

I am playing a lot, and I mean a lot of PvP. What I realized is that the normal play list and also Trials are infected to the core with cheaters. Almost every second to third game has a ximmer/cheater in it and as veteran pvp player you realize that immediately. What I also hate are those macro SMG-crouch-spammers, why not just press the crouch button manually?

I used control freaks in the beginning of my fps pvp escapades. I bought the ps4 back button attachment, but the first pro controller I bought was the ps5 edge. The amount of customizing with deadzones and swappable sticks and paddles are great. Having jump and crouch on the back of the controller help tremendously in gaming in general. Almost feels mandatory in modern competitive fps games. I don't want to get to the times where cheating in games is viewed in the same light. Like keeping up with the competition means having to cheat as well.

I just use a Dualsense Edge w paddles, literally nothing tweaked besides in game settings and mapping a single paddle to crouch using the default ps5 config software for that controller. I can only use one paddle at a time because I’m still not used to them, if I have two I occasionally fatfinger the other one. The built in trigger stoppers on the controller also help, but that’s as far as I’m willing to go, I just can’t play claw grip and having to take my finger off of the right stick to crouch mid fight completely takes away my ability to throw off others aim from my head. I’ve been playing fps games for over a decade with normal controllers and having said all this I sound like a “bad” or casual player, but having the advantage of that one single paddle did wonders for me. At the end of the day if you have good aim, awareness and knowledge about what you are playing and how you play it there is absolutely no need for any form of “cheating” listed in this video even in the higher echelon of PvP. That’s just my experience as a controller sweat though. Hope the industry takes a step in the right direction to prevent frequent cheating from going unnoticed.

I am a C7 quadraplegic so don't have very good hand fuction and just use a scuf controller, i manage to get by with that so i don't understand people saying cronus is needed for accessability issues.
  • @thelosian4751
"Fighting Lion is the best anticheat this game has ever had" I feel that one, it's gotten to the point it never leaves my inventory and usually in pvp doesn't leave my hands either. As much as people might hate it, with how many people out there that are cheaters, it really is one of the few ways to actually effectively counter cheaters
  • @Diffizzle
Really good video, thank you for chiming in on the topic.

huge props for showing the optimal potemkin hitbox was not expecting to see that
  • @Salmontres
Thank you! I've been hearing so many of these terms thrown around (especially ximming in Destiny 2), and I had no idea what was going on.
  • @jamesbg314
One thing, on your slide about XIM/Cronus not making a player good, one of the most impactful things that it does is perfect recoil control, at least in other games like apex, turning the flatline into a laserbeam makes the game waay easier and imo the strongest thing that those softwares do.
  • @imperious7552
Extremely professional. This was entertaining and informative. Thank you

I've seen a lot of "network manipulation" hacks in Gambit recently. From instant supers, nonstop invasions, and self reviving. I was told it was "undetectable" and good luck getting them banned even after multiple reporting. I'm sure that kind of stuff is also plaguing Crucible / Trials.
