Racism, classism, incompetence. Laziness. It is not an accident. He has to be liable.
-
The fact the bad cop couldn’t even admit he messed it up speaks volumes! So grateful for good cops who go the extra mile!
-
I hope she sues OConnell for lost wages suffering, hate crimes, and anything she can. What a horrible man.
-
Him saying he shouldn’t have to apologize sealed it for me. No remorse. I’m sure he unjustly got others locked up too.
-
The fact that he omitted EVIDENCE to put the innocent people in jail! I'm appalled.
-
O'Connell was not just a bad cop he was a racist. End off. Those three alleged victims shall never get their lives back. Terrible. He deserved a longer sentence. May the victim rest in peace and her beloved daughter find peace in those relatives that now love and care for her.
-
This is what real news reporter look like. What a good man. His heart is pure and the sheriff and all those who tried to bring justice, well done.
-
The tenacious reporter was so invested to help those people who were innocent and needed a voice he actually cried. What a kind and wonderful man.
-
Dirty cops should be sent to federal prison and placed in the general population with ZERO extra protection. People who abuse their power deserve to have theirs completely stripped away.
-
Her death exposed the corruption in that police station, it's unfortunate but I believe her death saved a lot of future heartache. RIP sweetheart 😢
-
O’Connell deserves prison. The fact that he wasn’t even remorseful for what he did to those 3 innocent people is sickening.
-
The tears in the eyes of the 'newspaper man', that wonderful wonderful true journalist brought the same to mine. We don't have enough journalists like him in this world and we need them desperately
-
The new Sheriff, is a LEGEND - his work ethic and his compassion are beacons of hope for humanity ... I hope Heathers family find some peace now in their lives ...
-
How horrible that 10 other women had already been raped and did not feel supported enough to report it.
-
How grotesquely twisted does a cop's mind have to be to ignore the fact that the DNA found under the victim's nails did not match any of his three suspects. He actually hid it from the grand jury. What kind of hatred or evil drives people like that?
-
Tunnel vision almost sent three innocent people to prison… he didn’t even care. He deserved more than 2 years. The new sheriff was awesome! The new reporter was the only reason there was justice in the end. He literally saved three lives.
-
I am glad the bad cop was held accountable.
-
Thank god for the new sheriff and prosecutor, who took the accusations against O'Connell seriously. We need more people like this in law enforcement and the court system.
-
Grateful for the journalists in this town, they really came through for the community and victims of the police.
