Thanks for the heads up about people who can’t travel. I am 67 and disabled so your adventures allow me to travel and see everything through your eyes. Thanks for that!🙂

I love your videos! Perfect mix of personality, narration, and experiences. With an added comedy appearance from Ludvig every now and again to boot.

Thank you for taking us along. As someone who loves to travel and has had the opportunity in the past, I'm unable to right now due to a chronic illness that prevents me from doing so and I may never get to travel again so it is nice to live vicariously through channels like yours. Most appreciated. ❤

Those are old train cars SJ used back in the 1960s/70s/80s. And yes, opening the window for ventilation is definitely intended because of the lack of AC. Back then there were no AC at all, and the ventilation is probably for heating in winter.
  • Good morning all happy Sunday mornings and you are amazing supporter happy 1st day of summer
  • Aww my partner and I took this train from and to Stockholm last year so we could bring our dog with us on holidays comfortably instead of taking the plane. So a big plus is that you can travel in this train with your pet, the only condition is that you need to book the whole cabin (just like you did) for you, no matter the size of your party. There was a special code we were able to use to reduce the price of the cabin, something hidden in their website and related to travelling with a pet, but I can't remember what it was exactly. Overall it was quite comfortable, the dog had time to do lil pee breaks whenever the train stopped. We bought a lot of snacks and drinks and just enjoyed the ride, staring at the beautiful view :) (super nice to see you in Europe, I started following this channel last year to help me plan my trip to New Zealand and your advice helped a lot, we had the time of our life in NZ earlier this year :D )

Thanks for taking us along. You (and Ludvig) are the best combination of hilarious and informative possible. I will say that it seems cruel to give you so much water without offering an en suite bathroom.😂

As a Swede, having to reserve a table in the restaurant car is a huge culture shock to me. Never heard about that practice before, and it's definitely not the norm... I know that some SJ-trains in Sweden require you to book meals in advance if you want to be served a warm meal by your seat in first class (on trainrides up to about 3 hours travel time), but never having to pre-book seats in restaurant cars on longer routes.

Thanks for an interesting video! Snälltåget came about by buying 40+ years old German coaches. Which seems quite obvious from watching your video. The coaches in themselves seem to be of the same quality as when I travelled around on a euro train card in 1974. The SJ (the Swedish state-owned rail company) also runs trains between Stockholm and Berlin. That would have made for an interesting comparison.
  • @thornton
Great video! I can tell how much effort went in to shooting it :) Can't wait to see your take on Berlin.
  • @The-Day-Off
I want an emotion Chloe moment 😂 I’m gonna attempt it but so far the content is in my home base state but travel content is my absolute favorite
  • @karpov7233
It is not a sleeper wagon (sovvagn) but a couchette (liggvagn) which is basic standard. Heard to believe how the restaurant table can be occupied all night, the train was not full
  • @JustinWatson23
I love a good train video. The dining car was a stange thing though. But hey 6 waters! what more could you ask for!
  • Great journey and great video!! 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂Greetings from Sweden!! :)
  • @shamcra
As a Swede, I am almost embarrassed by the non-existent service and low standard of the Swedish train network. One would therefore think that the ticket was cheap at least, which I don't think it was.
  • @helenlayley
We have travelled from Malmö to Stockholm a few times, leaving about 2200 and arriving around 0600. Only ever sharing a compartment, though, the 4999 you paid was for up to 6 people! So around 780 a head which sounds much more affordable. I think it was nearer 600 for our shorter journey. Females travelling alone are booked in female only compartments.
  • After visiting Berlin, Germany, the best idea is to take a quick one-day trip to Poznań or Wrocław, which are close to Berlin.
  • Hey Chloe! This was a fun, and informative, but also puzzling vid. So nice to see an old-school train car still doing good service (though, another commenter, 57thorns, did an excellent assessment of your not a/c probs to which I would only add that a multi-lingual sticker (saying, "no A/C, only heat -- open the flerkin' window!) would have been helpful?) And the whole dining car thing IS ON THEM! They did NOT seem to include this MOST important page 1, but was on a later page? Not your fault. And I thought it was telling that you had to take a nap halfway through deploying your bunk!😂 The reason bunks are deployed by stewards in North America and elsewhere is that if you accidentally crush a finger, or fall out of an improperly set-up bunk -- it, esprin the US, would lead to mucho dinero in injury compensation. Apparently, the Scando-Germanics are employing a "Midsommar" style of self-survival?🤔 Still loved the trip and the vid, and Ludwig would have been sardined in one of those bunks!💕
