This is a short and much better quality version of the clip of Jane Goodall releasing a chimp. The chimp's name is Wounda. You can see the full-length video here:    • Wounda's Journey

All rights for this video belong to Jane's organization. I'm just providing here a more convenient version for sharing.

This is one of the most sincere expressions of gratitude I've ever seen in my life.
  • When she hugs Jane you know she’s saying thank you for caring!!! So beautiful.

Wish there were more people like Jane in this world, she is a savior of animals, which everyone should be

He's looking around knowing he will be free to roam again and hugging the woman who made it possible. If only most humans are this thankful.

This woman is incredible. That hug was pure. The energy between them is undeniable.
  • Couldn't watch without crying. The empathy of Jane Goodall has no match. She is without a doubt one of most incredible human beings that has ever lived. I've grown old with her and her experiences. National Geographic followed and reported on her over the decades. I hope they will make a new documentary about her work, her family, and all the chimpanzee generations. 🤗🥰

The moment she turns to hug Jane. Geez man, such a well of emotion just watching that on screen, never mind actually being there. Jane completely deserves moments like that. What a woman.

Jane Goodall is a saint. The good she has done in this world is beyond measure.
  • She gave her that big hug at the end as if to say “Thank you for everything.”

Jane you have always been a woman I looked up to these past 70 years. I love that you have shown animals have feelings just like we do. Every animal just needs to be loved and respected. I love you very much and all you work with to save these beautiful fur babies.

She looked around at the amazement of her freedom and the joy of being in nature , but without forgetting to thank and showing gratitude and love for Jane. It is such a great lesson.
