As a parachutist, I can confirm everything he said 100 %. Leading up to a jump, you're scared, with the maximum fear being felt during the flight to altitude. But once the door opens, and you jump, it's the most amazing feeling in the world.

“God placed the best things in life on the other side of fear.” This should be the phrase of the century. 💪

This video inspired me to do my first tandem skydive 3 years ago. I’m now a licensed skydiver and have discovered my #1 passion thanks to Will Smith!
  • I watched this before going skydiving and it really helped me stay calm in the airplane because I kept telling myself after you step out it’ll feel like pure bliss and it really did!

Jump on two. Jump before you feel ready. Just jump. Life lesson from the legend himself 👍👊

Last summer I saw this video and a week after I saw this I went skydiving for the first time. I couldn’t describe the experience better. I couldn’t sleep the night before, I couldn’t stomach anything, I just couldn’t stop thinking about jumping out of an airplane. I was so worried about it that I couldn’t focus on anything else the whole day prior to the actual jump. But as soon as I left that plane at 15,000ft I had the TIME OF MY LIFE. It was like all that anxiety I had vanished instantly and I just had so much fun. It definitely felt like I was flying not to mention how great the views are up there without having to look through those little plane windows. When I got back on the ground I wanted to go again. I felt so dumb for letting my anxiety control me for an entire day before I even got on the plane. And it only got worse the closer I got to jumping out. When they opened that door I just reminded myself that everything will be ok. I was jumping with a professional and god was watching over me and protecting me. And sure enough I was not only ok but had the time of my life. I would definitely recommend everyone try it.

"Fear is NOT real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that, do not at present, and may not ever exist. That is near insanity... Now do not misunderstand me, danger is very real, but fear is a choice." -Will Smith as Cypher Raige

My jump is in 5 days. I been rewatching this everyday for the last 2 weeks preparing for it. I pretty much know his whole speech word for word now. 😂😂

As someone who is scared of riding those rollercoaster rides, im proud and still cant believe that i did a jump 2 years back in Queenstown, NZ. Among my greatest accomplishments !!

Watched this before I did my first jump, he’s so right. Just finished my second jump today.
  • I skydived for the first time yesterday. This video puts it into words that I couldn’t. It’s more than just an adrenaline rush, it’s a life changing experience.

Honestly, Will Smith nailed this speech perfectly. First he joked about him made us laugh and sometimes even forget the point of the speech. Then he jumped straight in the point at the moment we least expect so that the lesson get into us deeply. And he ended it with another joke leave us with a smile and that made us remember the lesson forever. God bless you Smith
