A handmade bicycle tire made out of hot glue gun sticks is an innovative and unique way to create a functional tire for a bicycle. The hot glue gun sticks are formed and shaped to resemble the tread of a traditional tire, providing the necessary traction and grip for riding on various surfaces.

The tire iare made by heating the hot glue gun sticks, and then molding them into 3d printed shape and size of the tire. This process requires a high degree of skill and precision, as the hot glue must be manipulated and formed quickly before it cools and hardens.

One unique feature of this handmade tire is the inclusion of RGB light. The light likely built-in the tire wall giving an colorful effect when it spins. This can create a visually striking effect, especially when the bike is ridden at night or in low-light conditions. This could also serve as an added safety feature, making the bike more visible to other vehicles and pedestrians.

Building a tire from hot glue gun sticks is a creative and challenging process, but the end result is a one-of-a-kind tire that can provide both functionality and aesthetic appeal. However, it may not be as durable as traditional tire and may not be suitable for rough terrain or extended use. It could be a perfect option for art bike or a short trip around the city.

Overall, a handmade bicycle tire made out of hot glue gun sticks with RGB light is a unique and innovative way to create a functional tire. It offers a visually striking effect while still providing the necessary traction and grip for riding a bike, but it is not recommended for heavy usage. It could be an interesting DIY project or an art installation.

I would be the coolest kid in town If I owned this
  • Cool idea. Not only is it awesome, but it doubles as a safety feature for riding at night. Reminds me of something out of Tron.

I think some LED strips are addressable so you could make the wheels appear to spin faster than you are moving or even spin backwards while going forwards. One wheel in each direction. Or perhaps make the front half of the wheel white and rear half red.

Ok this is just absolutely awesome! This needs to be mass produced and sold online. However a different type of tire would probably be better than the hot glue.

Now if you somehow manage to mix this with the hub-less bike weā€™d start having tron light cycles irl
  • If someone can come up with a working set of transparent Tyres, this can revolutionize the cycle industry. Legit looks straight out of TRON LEGACY.
  • You should try using inner wheel suspension. Basically springs that act as spokes. I've seen it somewhere before, would definitely fix the bumpiness issue.

This man has achieved possibly the 99% of the modifications that can be done on a bicycle and yet with that 1% he keeps amazing us since idk when. Since long years back.!! Amazing šŸ‘
  • Dude, you're a freakin' genius, a master of creative engineering and craftsmanship, Mark Watney could learn a thing or two from you!

This is really cool and really well-executed! I especially liked the little hot wire jig you cobbled together.
  • Yeah. The only problem is that transparent tires wear so fast. The "black smoke" is what gives durability to tires but it makes impossible to color the tires. That's why all tires are black at least on the contacting area. It would be cool if someone came up with additives to rubber that are close to black smoke and allowing for color. It could be applied to all tires including car tires. It would really boost creativity on car design. Still very cool idea!
  • I work at the local bike shop here in town... And i gotta say. This should be a thing thats mass-produced. not only is it fun and creative giving you the choice to further Stylize your bike, but its great for being seen especially during night time rides. visibly and being seen by cars is the number 1 priority.
  • Using the nichrome as a cutting tool was a nifty trick. I was wondering how you were going to make an even cut along the whole tire.
  • @stowgood
I'd love a commercially available version of this. It's wonderful.
  • Can we just appreciate the fact that this guy is a metalworker and a woodworker and a plastic-worker and a 3d modeler and an electrical engineer and a videographer
  • Really cool and a great safety feature for that pesky traffic that has trouble seeing us!
  • @D4rkS7der
This could be really cool if the leds were addresable. So you could achieve light effect, where green always touches the ground and the rest is for example red. (some kind of additional sensor would be needed in the hub for this).

Put a thin good strong clear rubberized mold over those tires for riding comfort, and you'd have a great funding product to show to Shark Tank!šŸ‘šŸ½
