Wow, I'm a spiritual native (shaman, but I dont think I have enough xp to call myself that.) And I found almost this exact style of letting people go. I will say that i like the cutting aspect more. As I've put it to people, You cut them off, and there's still some cord left on your side. You'll have to process your piece of the cord. Detangle it and take note of any spots you might have played a roll in tangling. Be gentle, this piece is still connected and a part of you. As you process it, it will heal and disappear. The person you're cutting from will probably feel how distant you are from them now. And try to lasso you back, don't let it connect, but if you want you can hold it.
