  • …I was 21, and my friends and I had a 3 day pass. It was safe and clean in Vancouver. We had the best time, and it is one of my favorite memories. I miss those days. 🇨🇦🩵🙋🏻‍♀️🌸

i was ten. got my first yo-yo with the expo '86 logo, my brother (13) got his first Swatch from the swiss pavillion; it rained every night, but we still watched the laser light shows; didn't have a clue what was going on, but it was so much fun anyway

I went to Expo 86 three times, I rode the Scream Machine three times in one day, the average wait in line was 2 hours, so around 6 hours standing in line and 6 minutes total riding the coaster. It was worth it. My dad helped install the motors & cables for the two SkyRides, those gondolas in front of Science World and the other side of the Cambie Street Bridge, he got us free passes to the opening day ceremonies, I was somewhere around when Chuck & Di were, I saw them on their boat from the McBarge, a McDonalds on a big boat, didn't see me or anyone I know in the video though.

Ohh man this takes me back!!! I was a 10yr old boy from Ontario spending my summer of 86 with family in Vancouver and I was completely floored at how awesome EXPO was! I wish it was a permanent attraction because I would love to go back! My family had a copy of this VHS tape but they lent it to someone many many years ago and we never got it back. So happy to see it again, thank you for uploading it!!!! Now I need to show some friends what I got to witness! <3
  • @FoodPornLover
Thank you for uploading this trip down memory lane! I was a kid with a season pass and went to Expo 86 as often as possible rain or shine. This really brings it all back with all the pavillions!
  • How can I be nostalgic about something that happened before I was born
