In the last few years we've been building this M52B28 2.8 litre swapped E36 compact. The diff broke and it made me sad not being able to drive it, so we crack out the original open diff and weld it up so we can get back to some 6 pot skids.

I have owned an E36 Compact M Sport package (Avus Blue) from factory with the E46 M43B19 engine that had done 270k kms and after I bought it, changed the timing chain, seals etc, it was still running even over 300k kms. The E36 Compact was done in a Hurry to counter the Golf 3 hatchback, It was like Hans went to the BMW depot and gathered what he could to make a car. In rally people can say that with a proper engine it could have ended the M3, in real life my head hurt due to understeering and sudden oversteering snap. It was a fun car to drive and I could feel the limits of the car and I feel sorry that the car didn't get the M3 proper engine.
  • Need to see the Colin back on the channel again perfect summer evening ripper

all the defender videos made me forget boqs actually a legit driver LOL ripping it at the end 😎
  • Hi, I’m that random guy you saw at your local petrol station on the cherry picker the other week, just wanted to say I am happy about e36 content🤝🏾 and the shorts are definitely my next purchase!

Christ I remember changing the diff on my e30 back in the freezing cold with just simple tools. I had to take the driveshaft bolts off with an allen key and it took hours as I had no mechanical experience. Pure hell as it was done on the cambered road outside my house, and then had to do it again 2 months later 😢. God bless Halfords advanced and Makita cordless 😊. Also…that compact diff didn’t look as bad as I thought, I drove my VXR8 for a couple of months as the LSD slowly ate itself alive and naturally one day it completely gave up (I shouldn’t have been driving it but I’m a pikey), The oil was like silver paint.
