So my paint was in need of some TLC and that's exactly what I gave her. Had at her in our last video with the scratch paste and buffing wheels. Really brought out the shine and cut down those scratches so they weren't as noticeable, or disappeared completely. This 3M vinyl protectant film is thicker than window tint, feels more rubbery, and installs a lot easier than I ever imagined. It's just time consuming to get it right, taking 2-3 hours for the entire process layed out in both these videos. The finished product is really amazing. The shine on the paint combined with the thickness and shine of the film makes it look like the bike is enveloped the the deepest clear coat, giving it that luster I wanted.

I just came here to like & share,already knew how to do this. but my bike is Raw alloy, so not such a big deal, I haven't tried protective tape on it.

It’s been my experience when using soapy water for clear decals the decals will look cloudy until all of the water underneath evaporates. So if your frame looks cloudy give it a day or so and it will turn back to clear. This also applies for window tinting.

I got tons of bubbles doing the dry application. I'm going wet next time!
