In this special topic lecture, I cover what is my current understanding of 'where trauma is stored in the body.' This lecture is based on my professional and personal experience, as well as keeping an open eye and ear on new findings and ideas from others who are immersed in the fields of healing and wellness. One thing is for certain: our traumas and survival energies are definitely stored IN the body, and for each person how that happens, where that happens, and how they are released and integrated is very much based on the individual and their capacity, as well as mastery, to be with their human experiences in all their colour, wonder, and pain. I once heard Jordan Peterson say that the best way to learn and dissect a topic is to teach it, and that is what I offer you in this lecture. Thank you for being here and continuing to learn. Enjoy!

    I'm 84 and trying to heal....still. What you say is so true and hopefully will be heard by everyone in the US.
  • I'm working my way through burnout and resetting my base line boundaries so to speak. I thought I was imagining things when after a meditation session I apologized to my nervous system for over riding my autonomic safety warnings. This created an enormous shift. The somatic journey begins 😊

    I am so shocked a 46:55 but it does explain so much. My physical issues manifested after I have cut off my toxic family. I thought it was because that is when I realized the extent of how badly I was treated, but maybe it was just the comfort of knowing none of those experiences will ever happen to me again, so the release begun.

    Everyone you mention infact every trauma, and ever abuse in the book except death, Physical, mental, emotional, sexual, religious, dysfunctional family, and I’m 75 now, been working my socks off since 37 years old, started meditation. Stood outside post office this morning for half an hour waiting fir it to open in panic, and tried all the things like breathing, tapping, eyes movements, you name it. Then changed tactic and said okay I accept this. I know you have been working for me all my life to keep me safe. I stayed with the feelings in awareness, I said I love, thank you, and I started to feel loving, calmer. I saw by acceptance, and inner awareness it helped loads. My gut has been tight since I was 5 years when I started school as I can remember. I still suffer irritable bowel where my bowels empty, in shops mainly. But I’m pretty fit my age, never took medications since in my late 20s and was given antidepressants and Ativan at another time, both I put down the toilet in the end. I’ve done inner child shadow work, for the last seven years, and I do inner body work, fir many years, and can feel everything inside my body, and now looking at Neuroplasticity, that’s why I’m here. Is there any hope. I don’t trust, anyone, or anything.
  • I just feel so sorry and horrified of the fact that people really do put their babies to cry alone into a dark room until they sleep. I ve spent fair amount of time in asia with some very poor people; they never left their babies alone, never!

    I love your content sooo very much. It's dense, goes deep and resonates on so many levels and topics. I'm so very thankful for every video I've watched since I discovered your channel. I aleady watched the 4-videos course and plan on doing 21 day before SBSM. I've been working on a psychological and energetical level but all this makes so much sense and the necessity to process it in the body. Therapists talk a lot about difficulties with embodiment but often forget to the BODY 😅

Well...I love how you presented the whole thing with traumas!I ve got a bachelor in Genersl Psy and some MHC -Master Mental Health Counseling that I stopped having studying 📖it as I went to experience Theta Healing as it was a true life savior 🙏for myself! As it s Mercury Retrograde ,that s a perfect time for healing and all traumas has to be tracked in childhood ,even in Mother s womb!I know that from Theta Healing!   • I am glad you spoke about the car accident. When I was a teen, I met a boy who tried to have sex with me immediately on a date. We barely knew each other, I fought him off and he began to drive and we had a car accident. I hit the windowsill with my head and found a phone to call my father to come get me. He came and took us to the nearby hospital. I had already had had "wrestling matches" with several boys Plus my dad was my early attacker. I was alright after the checkup and I don't remember anything after that.

    I have flashbacks while listening to you, so many things hit the nails, I can only imagine how beneficial your work would be for me, I hope once I will be able to join. You are right about the term anxiety, it's outdated and not telling. Thank you for all your work and effort.

    That is very interesting about trauma being stored in the water in the cell. When I sweat, my sweat doesn’t smell. But when I am have trouble sleeping, and it’s a restless fight to fall asleep and stay asleep (only sleeping 30-60 minutes at a time and never making it to REM-no dreams) I very often wake up drenched and that sweat reeks soooo bad. It smells like onions to me. My husband and I work different shifts and when he gets home all he has to do is open the bedroom door and e can smell it. At no other time, do I smell like that, not even after a workout

  • The part about remembering cigarette smoke is something I can relate to as my mom smoked while I was in utero. I also experienced a traumatic time there and got out via c-section. I have suffered from several claustrophobia my whole life (heard somewhere that such could be related) and severe separation/abandonment anxiety from my mom. As a 36 year old today I'm learning a lot about myself by each day, my nervous system and my traumas. My mom is still very emotionally distant today like she's always been, so I can't have any talks with her about it and my dad is not here anymore. I've struggled with self esteem issues as well as my sexual attraction - towards very dominant yet emotionally unavailable women - who smoke just like my mom. I'm currently recieving IFS therapy for this but I don't think it will move the needle much as far as the part of me that wants to be in a female led relationship with a dominant woman in order to feel safe. I'm taking a drivers seat position in my life now because there will be no one to save me but me. I won't let myself down ever again.
