He really went from, "Your daughter calls me daddy" to "Your kids call me mommy"
  • Steve went from being just Nancy's boyfriend to the mother of several children. And that's the character development I like to see

The fact Steve has never explicitly said how much he cares for the kids but through his actions it is abundantly clear just how much he loves them, is genius character creation and amazing acting by Joe Keery. I love Steve's character so much and the way he looks out for the kids makes his character even more lovable. Then him admitting that he always wanted a big family was so sweet. He walked into his dream in Season 2 without even realising it.
  • The best thing about season 2 was Steve’s evolution into the mom of the kids.

“ Always the babysitter, ALWAYS THE GOD DAMN BABYSITTER! “ At least Steve is the best babysitter for them lol
  • Every woman deserves a man like Steve Hairyngton. Steve is not just a mom, he's also a dad, a parent, a babysitter, a brother, a boyfriend and a husband material. He's a full package. He also wants to have six little human nuggets. 💗

Just Steve’s being a mood with his 6 children be like, especially with Dustin :

Robin: "how many children are you friends with?" Steve: "THEY ARE MY CHILDREN NOT FRIENDS!"
  • I'm sorry, the fact that he refers to his future kids as his 'six lil nuggets' ... keeper.

As a parent, I felt Steve's defeated "okay" in my bones after Dustin declared, "If you die, I die." Sometimes, you just have to recognize when the kids have defeated you with their chaos.

Steve becoming the groups 'mom' is one of the best character arcs of the show. He went from a douchebag jock, to a mother hen trying to stop her hatchlings from jumping out of the nest and dying.
  • I love how Max wrote a letter for Steve and how Steve doesn't care about Max knowing a good lawyer, the least thing he cares is to protect her. 😭💗
  • @Swapnomoyyy
A drunk dad to a caring mother, Steve's character development is phenomenal
  • I love how in season 1 Steve's presence wouldn't make sense without Nancy because he was just her boyfriend (and was even supposed to die at some point) and now nobody can immagine this show without him❤
  • @Goaway6221
Let’s all agree Steve is the best character.
  • Max driving the car with Lucas and Dustin while Steve was freaking out after he gained conciousness was the funniest scene for me. 😭
  • Steve is the ULTIMATE babysitter. He loves those kids. He protects them, keeps them somewhat in line. And most of all, he LISTENS to what they tell him. Steve is a HERO of a character.

The one time Steve wasn’t the baby sitter and we lost Max 😢
