  • Love that he's quietly dressed as a mechanic for all these promo interviews 😂
  • Also Alex seems so happy and intrigued with some of Jack's observations - you can just see the way he relaxes and livens up. I'm going to repeat myself with the congrats and applause here for a greatly done interview! 👏

I love that they're giving us so much content with this new album 😭❤ whether it be interviews, live performances, etc. They're working really hard and it shows.

Alex is like an open-ended film or book. He leaves it up to us to figure out what the song/record is about. Fascinating as always.

Jack did a really great job there, really good and- crucially- different and inventive questions. Brought the best out of Matt and Alex especially
  • In a weird way it sounds old, current and futuristic all at the same time. Mad

i’ve started rewatching the “the view from…” series from 14 years ago and it made me realise how much they’ve grown. their voices have changed a lot (obviously because they’re now 14 years older) but they’ve grown so much! i love this interview and the album :)

Give the new album time. It's a grower. This is iconic, imagine living through the Beatles or Bowie's discography as it happened. This is not their last album, just another step towards something else. This album is a puzzle and I can't stop listening to figure out my own answers from it. Love it
  • It is so nice to see interviews that’s actually focused on the music and not the musicians’ personal life or silly reactions

You always see Matt and Alex interviewed, it would be nice to hear and see the other lads, even if they just sit around and nod appreciably.

So they did consider a rock album after the TBHC tour ended, and they completely back peddled on the idea when they realized that that’s not what they wanted, almost as if they were laughing at themselves for considering it, lmao. Very interesting, but shows how strong their… resolve is going forward.

Jack Saunders needs more credit than he gets, for the past few years every interview he’s done has been phenomenal and brings a side out to artists that you very seldom see with other interviews. Like the Graham Norton of music (this is to be seen as a huge compliment)
  • @ligmaj632
I'm so glad to have new music from them to listen to
  • Very interesting that Alex pinpointed the melody two 3rd of the way into Big Ideas as being the only thing which had come to him spontaneously since that is my favourite part of the entire album. It really is the bit which stands out as being something special.
  • great interview! I just love them so much, they seem so sincere. Can't wait to see them live!!
  • I've only become their fan this year and I don't know if it makes sense but it's almost like they were having an out of body experience when they came up with tranquility but when the car came out, it was like they had come back to their senses but with a new perspective and a profound understanding. And I think that's why the car sounds a lot like tranquility but at the same time it reminds you of their older stuff. Anyway, they are geniuses and I love them

Superb, excellent ending. The immediate cutout was incredible, really loved that as someone who is in journalism as well.

Great interview. I love listening and talking about the music, the songs and not other stuff. Love the album and love listening to great interviews like this one!
