  • I think a series on building technology would be great and would help clarify some of the challenges that people face. I find building sciences extremely interesting having grown up in the SW US with a family that worked in the residential construction industry, while I have an academic background with physics and chemistry. It's fun stuff!
  • This live stream has the deepest value I've ever encountered on YouTube. Thank you!!
  • @Mr1fingersalute
I love this stuff! Keep it coming👍🏻 I’m just your average homeowner who likes to diy everything I possibly can myself, some of this stuff goes right over my head but I’ve been eating it up lately. I love to learn and you’re the man. Thanks!
  • @SandiRose2008
Wow!! It was great to see you guys! Thanks for the Live Stream!
  • @garethlewis3647
Nice to see you presenting a live broadcast. Been watching your home improvements for a ong time and I wish you all the best
  • Hi Jeff, I'm a High School teacher at a First Nations school in Alberta and I would love to have videos on Build Science. Let me know when you will have one. I would love to teach the new science and have students who can build their own homes. Insulation, Water Vapour, Water Barriers, Air Vapour, Wall Science, Roof Science, infloor heating, exterior wall with insulation, plumbing and electrical, including air exchange technologies and heat exchange units. I also, would love to build my current home into a bigger home, raise the roof, put an extra foot addition with garage. Lots of planning would need to go into that, and of course the difficulty of finding help that would do a good job.
  • Bathroom science! Very interested to know more about that, I currently live in Winnipeg but am from southern Ontario. You're amazing and you helped my boyfriend and I completely remodel our place from paint to floors to trim and we're so appreciative of you. Always waiting for your newest post! Cheers from your fellow Canadian and hope you enjoy all the fun new experiences that your Florida trip has to offer.
  • @spudzooka
Good point on the tight/well insulated build and ac running less relationship. Down here in Florida I have to explain to customers constantly that you don’t want an oversized ac system, you actually want an undersized system because dehumidification only happens when the system is allowed to run.
  • @sbxdotcom
You're so awesome. I appreciate all you guys do. I've learned so much (the right way) ... I work at a box store and I come across many men who try to belittle my knowledge just because I'm a female. Your channel is so inspiring and amazing.
  • @johngroll2704
Building code can be changed by one person on a crusade. The railing code “ladder effect” was changed by one man whose grandson climbed a chain link fence and drowned in a pool
  • @Joe-bm4wx
I’d like to see a conversation between Jeff and Matt risinger, because they seem to have drastically opposite opinions
  • @Michigan_Fan
Would love to see more tech videos! You are and will always be, my favorite channel on the tube. Great job Team RenoVision.
  • Great overview. I love the concept of passive house, but it is definitely going from 1 to 100 real fast. Would love to see smart renovation ideas on improving efficiency while dealing with moisture. Love all of your videos Jeff.
  • @ecospider5
Fantastic historical data. Thanks for the education.
  • @NOTNOTJON
Great show! Reworking and finishing my basement after I needed to replace 3 very bad walls. I pay the guys for the stuff I can't do and do everything else myself. PS love your down to earth humour. You are up there with Joe Scott and TOT.
  • @oldskoolwayy
I come back and watch this at least once every other day..this was legendary..
  • To add to that noise question, window mfg's (pella I know for sure) are now making noise canceling windows, where they use different thickness panes on either side if the window so it cancels any noise transfer coupling that you would get from old style multipane windows. The difference is significant enough I'll never install anything but when doing windows on my personal home.
  • @fishsoft92
Where do we send pictures if our remodel/renovation projects to?
  • @paulsierra5709
I’m in New Berlin, WI in a 1940’s home. I am trying to finish my basement. I demo’d all the old framing. My basement floor is not level. Slopes down from all sides to the center about a 2” variance. I planned to put down the blue DMX > 23/32 OSB > all new framing over OSB > laminar plank flooring. Will this solution work? Are there any other layers I should anywhere in this process?
