Girls band cry has become one of my favorite anime. And it has the best music! The band exists irl and the band members were extra trained for voice acting in their respective characters. I recommend you to check out more of Togenashi Togeari’s songs. If you want a good music anime: K-on, Girls band cry, Bocchi the rock, Hibike Euphonium and Your lie in April Those are the ones I can spontaneously come up with (they are just soooo good)

Bro, Kroi is the one of my craziest discovery last year, they're really good. I dont watch the anime tho. And about the virtual idols, japan literally have their own genre, like from anime idols to the AI related idols, they have it all, I dont think they're really that big tho, but they did have a massive following. They do have quite a number of music related anime, a lot of them are drama or slice-of-life, so just prepare your heart if you want to watch them. One that I think will be good for newbie is Sakamichi no Apollon (Kids on the Slope), from the music to animation, they really slayed it all. But if you want something that is new and more anime-ish, try Bocchi, its one of the fan favourite last year. Both of the anime is not that long so I guess you can watch it with ease Also I want to recommend jpop for the podcast, but I just new it would be too wide of a theme. But I've always want to introduce you to legendary jpop artists, lol. Yk just how diverse they're with sounds, they also have so many music communities underground. But yeah, I'll listen whatever your decision is
