This is the first of many animated graphics showing the 2024 eclipse crossing Mexico, USA and Canada. All 50 states will see some portion of this eclipse. Alaska will see the least. I have Juneau Alaska marked with a Sun being eclipsed in the upper-left corner of the map.

Totality will begin on the shores of western Mexico. A few minutes later, the path of totality will enter Texas and the following states: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and then the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and then Newfoundland.

Totality will moves onto land at 1:07pm CDT on the west shore of Mexico near the town of Mazatlan Totality will cross the Texas/Mexico border at 1:27pm near Piedras Negras. Totality will leave the land in Newfoundland at 2:44pm CDT.

More to come later.
